Bryce Young's style of play won't work in the NFL. Scrambling around every play to find a passing lane will get him killed. Hell it got Cam killed and Cam has 6 inches and 75 pounds on him

It’s not height it’s the fact 300lb linemen are going to destroy him in the NFL and will inevitably be more likely to have major injuries from it.  It’s happening to Tua and his frame is bigger

While a lot of ‘analysts’ say size shouldn’t matter with Young, most former players I’ve heard discuss him are scared for him.
Pat McAfee did a segment the other day on this. He and another former player were extremely skeptical that Young won’t get killed out there some day. He’s just so small.

Think about this. Fitterer came from Seattle where he had Russell Wilson. He’s quite undersized and had an amazing Seattle career. If rumor is true Tepper likes Bryce Young as well, it just makes sense he will be the guy especially if he shows out at his pro day. The size thing. Y’all are overthinking it.

and why should we be excited? A Russell Wilson in his prime was fun to watch and Bryce young is a lot like him in my opinion. Our version of him could be even better. That will be must watch football. Let’s be honest all of you would take Prime Russell right now…

People are gonna call me crazy but hey. Check my last posts. I always get poo’d and yet I’m always right. I said last YEAR WE SHOULD TRADE CMC AND DJ MOORE for the highest capital possible because we just weren’t gonna get it done with them due to other circumstances. Called that. *shrugs*

Bryce young will be the pick.

The history shows my ideas are usually right. So disagreeing with my analysis is technically the same as playing with fire

Frame concerns are valid I'm but tired of hearing about height. Been proven time and time again here that it doesn't matter.

 FYI, FWIW

Last year, Kenny Pickett's hand size (8.5 inches) was the primary issue.  Young's hand size is 9.75.

Rules protect the QB and Young can be taught to avoid contact at all times--slide, throw ball out of bounds, etc.

Russell Wilson weighted 204 lbs at his combine and pro day--he managed to avoid being hit--one of the best at it.  Russell Wilson, in his 11-year career in Seattle, missed 4 games.

Cam had no OL and he ran the football like a heat seeking missile.  Russell Wilson played the way you describe--at 204 pounds--and he missed 4 games in 11 seasons in Seattle.  Fitterer saw him do it.

I am not really concerned about Young’s size like everyone else. He played with and against grown ass men of the SEC. He had no problems with batted balls and no Injury issues. He plays smart, fast and easily navigates the pocket.

I believe Young is the best QB in the draft. If the front office thinks Stroud is the best QB, I don’t think his size will be the reason why he would be picked over Young.

Yes and paved the way for QBs like Bryce young. Showed that size doesn’t 100% cripple you

Young's playing weight is 35 pounds lighter that Wilson. Wilson was mobile. Young is not particularly quick or mobile. Young's arm is average, at best. I pray that the Panthers do not draft Young.

Wilson also has some of the largest hands in the league at 10.25. Everyone said Cam's rushing was going to get him hurt and it was hits in the pocket that crippled him. There's too many factors at play to just make conclusions on these guys based on their measurables. It's about how they play.

It's going to be Stroud or Richardson, and you should also be excited

Young has great intangibles, but just not the body to hold up to the punishment he's going to get in the NFL , Cam was a linebacker and RB in a QBs Body, and he didn't have a long career, how do you expect someone with body type of a kicker to survive one season

I actually think Young will fall way down in the draft because of it

How did he survive in the SEC? Sure they’re bigger overall in the NFL, but let’s not act like he didn’t demolish Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn, etc who are as BIG as NFL players.

Wait your entire “Analysis” Is that Seattle is a place where Fit and Russ existed together, a rumor about Tep and I’m usually always right (source: trust me bro)?

I don't know what you're basing this on.  Ryan Day runs a pass-first, pro-style, offense.  Day was previously a QB coach in the NFL.  A lot of of NFL teams would LOVE for Day to be their OC or even head coach.

that is a fair statement and it is something I did not fully understand until I started researching the difference between these 2 qbs. Ryan Day seems to have added pro-style elements to the offense, but the pro-style offense employed by Nick Saban requires more of a QB. From what I can see, the QB has a pass-first option, and that option is predetermined from the best I can tell--but Saban's offense is a pro style offense.  It is hard to say because they are all hybrids right now, but I made the comment because I know Saban's offense is more of a pure pro-style offense.

This is not a knock on Stroud--he is my preference--I am simply attempting to figure it out.  While you can argue that Day runs a form of a pro-style offense, it is not as pure as what they do in Alabama.  There may not be a significant difference.  Have you overlayed the OSU offense over the Bama offense?
