I missed it how did he do?

He killed it again. And the Panthers stuff didn’t hide their feelings for him at all. Lots of smiles all throughout the showing. It looked like we celebrated his pro day. We had coaches hugging Tepper lol

Those 2 need to be shredded. They run a lot more, taking on more contact from defenders. I’d expect them not to look like a “noodle”, although I don’t think Stroud looks like a noodle in any of the pictures I’ve seen.

First before this goes down a route where it feels like im talking poo about Stroud, I am not. I made a statement on how he looks compared to the other QBs.

Second, CJ Stroud has been called long and lengthy his entire life. He had an interview where he shared growing up it was really hard for him to gain weight. In high school he was a pencil. This is from his own stories.

CJ is a skinny kid... 6'3 213lbs is a small frame for his size. Luckily, he has the height to add the weight.

I know people have doubts, being an Ohio QB, but I have never see a QB like Stroud come out of Ohio.
Cool that he did well. On to Bryce Young.

Here‘s Burrow before his rookie season. Lots of body fat but he’s definitely trimmed down since then.

Stroud looks like a guy you’d expect to look given his play style

beat me to it. you rarely see great NFL QBs with the body type of those 2 guys. muscle mass inhibits flexibility. Brady, Manning, Mahomes, even Lamar Jackson are much closer to Stroud's body type than Levis's body type. he looks like a DE.

Cam is the exception. he's always the exception. in any discussion you want to have or any scenario or topic, Cam is the exception.

Doesn’t matter how ripped you are if you can’t accurately throw a ball.  poo, the greatest QB of all time came into the league looking like a highschool sophomore. CJ looks absolutely fine for an nfl qb. Tape > athletic traits, especially for a QB.  This is a lazy post.

Young very much seemed like a guy who thought he was locked into the #1 spot as long as he could check that 200+ pound box. Hell, maybe he is. I have no idea.

Me either.  You just never know how these guys will react to the pressure that comes with the fame and money in the nfl.  The college game doesn't prepare them for what is about to hit them. It does not suffer the weak spirited who fold when things get difficult.  Young and Stroud have yet to face the kind of pressure they will see at this level.

Honestly... I agree. I completely understand it from a perspective of doing what's best for them and their career but yeah... I mean, it is what it is.

But the NFL has clearly shown they don't care. I don't feel like anyone's draft stock has been hurt in the least by sitting out of an also ran bowl.

    • Tell me something I don’t know. I said right there in what you quoted I wasn’t optimistic. I said I could still be hopeful. Which ain’t the same but will have to do.  I have optimism regarding more compartmentalization aspects of the team. Some players. The good draft we had is cause for optimism. Maybe that Tepper is actually being less harmful. Maybe.  I had some for Canales but his meter is about 50% right now with me.  Etc
    • Got a little more juice in us this period. Gotta get these chances to start falling. Ducks and us keep getting these chippies that are missing. First team to start banging these in and I think the floodgates open.
    • The things that make people give up on him is that he is getting worse in terms of simple football things and he isn't improving on much in terms of being a WR. He has improved his drops but then he has increased his insanely boneheaded penalties. I mean, the dude has THREE false start penalties. That is the second most on the team.  Couple that with his obvious limitations in terms of field vision, agility, etc and you just start to wonder what there really is to even believe in. I'll put it this way, when such a notoriously terrible personnel management coach like Canales gives up on you, that's saying a lot. He has ridden more bums for longer than any of us care to remember.
