Bryce Young Pro Day

Imagine that, the people here who are set on Stroud thought Young looked bad.  They were going to no matter what.  Im good with either and today cemented thar for me.  None of us have saw nearly as much of them as our coaches and scouts have.  I feel comfortable with whoever they pick.   I slightly lean Stroud but if Young was a couple inches taller he would be the clear #1 so it makes me wonder if we are overrating or underrating size.  How many injuries are specifically related to size and how many are flukes due to landing wrong etc

So he isn't going to weigh in today?  Kind of leads to the speculation he was carrying extra weight at the combine and didn't do any drills because of it....

Knew he wouldn’t weigh in. He’s under 200 again for sure because.

Still prefer Stroud. Not sure how anyone can say Young is the best thrower of the ball after seeing both throw.

cause pro days aren't real and game tape matters more. Young is the best natural pure QB in this class. The way he throws and QBs the field when under pressure and everything is moving fast is unreal.

There's a reason everyone says if he was 6'2 220 there would be no doubt who the #1 pick is.

Basically my opinion. I have a feeling Bryce is special but I probably draft Stroud if it was my team. But both looked exactly as you’d hope. Will be psyched regardless.

    • That argument could be used for actual trolls. “If you don’t like it find somewhere else to post” is just silly. Some of us are just letting you know, you are sounding like a broken record on these threads. It’s just some constructive criticism. You don’t have to change your ways. I doubt you will. Just wanted to make sure you were aware. Feel free to deflect and use one of those GIFs again.
    • It went from he has to jump to he has to bend his hips. That’s changing it. I showed you clips of him throwing deep without jumping which means he doesn’t always have to. I liked and like Stroud better so I’m not really a Bryce defender. Just think you don’t have to make up things when critiquing our QB like he has to jump to throw it deep. There is plenty of ammo there without those exaggerations. Oh yeah the “you don’t know ball” argument. Classic.
    • I get the rookie QB formula and fully expected to see it implemented. Oh well. For the run game there was no or very little under center stuff until a good ways into the year. At least that is how I am remembering it. And no deep throwing - so stacked boxes which you can say chicken or egg on why.  Hard to run like that.  The QB that people said was so great was pulled for a designated Hail Mary thrower. That’s pretty unusual. And may speak to why we saw few deep balls in some part, along with the OL. To ignore that stuff means you aren’t working with all of the information when you try to mentally model or project what it might be like on the field.  Me, I have a slice of hope that he could maybe be NFL average but getting him to be a plus type of QB is a huge job. It depends on designing the playbook with certain values at the foundation that have to be adhered to first . You have to integrate the other pieces around this one guy’s skill set because he is a real outlier. And he has to learn the under center skill set. Maybe put that Only Positive thread back up people can go there if they don’t want to deal with rightly frustrated fans.
