RG3: Panthers are a "dream destination" for whichever QB goes #1

Yeah we really are a great situation for a 1st overall QB. We had 7 wins last year despite atrocious coaching and cleaned house and hired an extremely experienced and well respected staff. Not a perfect team outside of QB by any means (few holes on D and of course offensive receiving weapons) but nowhere near the absolute dumpster fire most teams picking top 2-3 are.

Honestly, for a #1 overall pick we really are. The OL is good. We have a former QB, offensive minded HC. We've signed a good veteran RB. We've signed a solid vet receiving TE. Yeah, the WRs need work but overall this is a MUCH better situation than a #1 overall pick typically walks into.

The NFCS and NFC in general are weaker as well. Meaning that this kid is going to get playoff experience and also SB experience (Hopefully winning experience).

He will definitely have a legit shot at the playoffs his rookie season. For comparison, Burrow and Lawrence both finished last in their division as rookies before winning their divisions their 2nd year.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
