Other than Hurst...what have they done???

To be fair I wish Ricci got more targets. He’s a natural pass catcher and is a natural runner with the ball. He showed that when he was actually targeted.

But draft position means Tremble (elite blocker in college) has been forced as a pass catcher while Ricci (actually had hands) was forced as an H-back blocker (literally the reason Tremble was loved coming out).

Ricci probably won’t get a shot because he was undrafted, but so far he makes the most of his touches, while our other TE’s who lean more towards blocking, have been unreliable in the passing game.

I just don’t get the logic outside of making decisions based on money/draft position.

Past Panthers coaches playing a guy out of position? There's a shocker.waynes world wayne campell GIF

Must protect jobs by making sure those draft picks get every chance possible.

While Fitty is killing it, the coaching staff has made his job easy this year.  Players want to come play for this Professional top notch coaching staff.  Makes all difference.

Nobody  wanted to come play for Rhule’s college system  except for his old players.

How refreshing.

so who do we trade or release, shenault, shi smith, TMJ?

Wouldn't need to cut or trade any of them.

We had 7 to start last year.

If we only go 6 or 5

Thielen, Marshall, Chark, Shenault, Smith is only 5

A stud TE makes all the diff IMO.  Where would KC be without Kelce?  Shockey and Olsen were so good for this team made me wonder why we never tried to do that again.  Get stud TE's, it makes the receiver room better and you never have to pay top dollar for a receiver...plug and play.

Yeah, no one had a good answer for him all the way through the playoffs.  He was The difference in the games I watched.

Yeah gotta add one in the draft, not take one away. That group is like 2 ankle sprains away from being a weakness. We can get a guy on day 2

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
