Josh was on WFNZ this morning

And the way he talked, it’s Not just smoke

-Said when they traded up they were torn between a few prospects.

- mentioned as the pro days and meetings went and they met with the people.  They have an idea or have their guy by now.

- mentioned that’s why all the rapid leaks and movement has been happening the last few days.

- said the team Would like the fans to know somewhat who the pick is before it happens.

- pointed out the big draft party even they’re hosting.  Said with the fan base so split and torn between a few guys.  It best for the fans base to someone know instead of having everyone there who are taking sides at the event.

- said they’d like it to be more of a coronation.  Then the shock surprise

Well, we now know who “Juan” is…

Going to go out on a limb and say Bryce Young will be the best QB in the NFC South this year. That's how much I believe in this kid ability to play QB.

We have a legit Oline this kid will be protected from day 1.

I think with either QB you could say that

Why do you say that.

because you personally don’t like the other guy?  That’s pretty stupid to say.

Because the fanbase clearly favors Stroud and there's enough controversy around the others to sour the welcome party. Everyone will fall in line eventually but there's going to be some salt on draft night if it's Young, Richardson, or Levis.

I think it might be to late for that.

Stroud fans just won’t show up. Having fans show up with Stroud/Levis/AR signs would not be the best look.

I get what they are doing. It seems most of these Bryce to CAR stuff is coming from Mortensen and King types. The old trusted guard.

Very wise for the Panthers to try to quite the fanbase and make them ready for the new QB.

Never knew 20% of the fan base clearly Favors one so much over the other that they’d boo

we get it YOU don’t like one guy.  But YOU and 2-3 others on here don’t equal a majority of the fan base

I remember the discussions being more offense vs defense oriented, honestly don’t remember anybody wanting yo gabba

there were a few in the gabbert and locker camps. yo gabba had the most support between the two of them, though. i know many draftniks thought that this was largely a cam vs. gabbert draft and many in that debate were pro-gabba. no one was doing the stuff that we thought Cam would be doing. we'd never seen a QB like him tbh. a QB either passed a lot or ran a lot and they typically only ran if they couldn't throw very well...at least that was the narrative most ran with. we saw Cam throw and run in college, but few thought that it would transfer to the pros the way it did.

but there were others who wanted Marcel Dareus, too. i think he had the most clamoring of any non-Qb player that year.

The Texans aren’t in our division…

Seriously though, I’ll support the choice the team makes.

    • https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47371200/sources-rams-fire-special-teams-coordinator-chase-blackburn LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Rams have fired special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move marks the first in-season coaching change that Rams head coach Sean McVay has made in his nine seasons in Los Angeles. Rams assistant special teams coach Ben Kotwica will take over and become the lead special teams coach, a source told Schefter. The Rams, 11-4 and second place in the NFC West, lost to the Seahawks on Thursday night in a game that included a Seattle punt return for a touchdown and a missed 48-yard field goal by Los Angeles kicker Harrison Mevis. The Seahawks (12-3) overtook the Rams for first place in the division and the top overall record in the NFC thanks to the 38-37 overtime victory. Though the Rams have lost only four games this season, three have involved special teams miscues. In the Rams' first loss of the season, 33-26 to the Eagles, Los Angeles had its final two offensive possessions end with blocked kicks. In the Rams' Week 10 victory over the Saints, kicker Joshua Karty missed an extra point and a 39-yard field goal attempt. After the game, McVay said the Rams' special teams issues "can't continue like this." Los Angeles replaced long-snapper Alex Ward with Jake McQuaide and Karty with Mevis, who had not missed a kick until Thursday night in Seattle. Blackburn, 42, was in his third season as the Rams' special teams coordinator. A former linebacker for the Giants and Panthers, he also has worked as an assistant with Carolina and Tennessee.
    • It was a bad play from Icky but the OL didn't give up a sack until late in the 4th quarter and Bryce just stood there like he was canatonic. If our 3rd year number one overall pick can't overcome one single sack against a rebuilding Saints team that should only have 2 wins this season then it isn't ever going to happen   This is your quote. I mean I’ve quoted it twice. It was followed by calling people that defended him fugers and several other meltdowns I can also quote.    Shame you for working for a living??? Wow this is a whole new level to your victim mentality thing you like to do. You don’t have to watch games live. Or don’t spend an entire thread arguing about something you didn’t get the full picture of. I miss parts of games all the time. That’s just life. Not even going into the whole losing all respect thing.
    • Rams ended up firing ST coach and former Panthers coach Chase Blackburn after the loss. Sounds all too familiar.
