Albright has been wrong before, but this was interesting. I didn’t listen but I wonder if he is implying we are trying to get a trade or just don’t give a poo and telling everyone Bryce is our guy.

Trying to get Houston to bite and give up some picks and then get AR at #2.

Thats interesting because If the Panthers really do like Stroud then they have no reason not to dangle bait on Bryce to Houston all this time. What do they have to lose by doing it? Richardson just adds to it because he would just be another option only in a trade down. Its just as possible as them being really sold on Bryce instead. Point is, we really dont know nothing till it gets closer to the draft. Its stupid to get hopes up now on a specific thing to happen.

There have been a few GMs that have said they are glad they don't have to make that decision this year. Undoubtedly because they all have some traits you love, but each has some potential weaknesses that may haunt you.

Bingo - and yet 3/4 of our fanbase is strutting around like trading the farm for #1 overall was a work of genius by Fitterer.

I'm starting to lean more towards AR. While his game may not be there yet and he is young and "raw", his physical gifts and his ceiling are too damn tempting to ignore. He may need to sit a year or partial year and I'm actually ok with that. I know everyone wants to win now, I do too. We have a couple centuries worth of experience in our coaching staff. If this is the Allstar staff we all hope it is, sitting for a season and actually getting adjusted to the NFL game could be very beneficial. We traded up to 1 in a class where the top 3 QBs all have question marks. I want the guy that has the highest ceiling of the group. If we swing and it's a miss, we have our 1st back in 25' to do it again.

It's a tough call. Safe bet is Young if you want to start the rookie right away. I really do not have the warm and fuzzies for any of them. But we have to take one of them. I just hope they pick the right one.

I don't either. Because of that I'd be shooting for the biggest reward. Any of the 3 could be good or none and it wouldn't surprise me either way.

Naw…they are conditioning the fan base on what to expect.  Young’s the pick

You are probably right, but why not just say it? Also why bring in AR and Stroud for visits? It seems they are fairly confident it’s Young but are still doing some research.

Who knows.  I'm not convinced Person's source knows much.

Because if someone else makes you a ridiculous offer and you're not sold on 1 of the 3 as the best, you can still get a QB and some other pieces and improve the team. Have to at least show some interest in all of them to give yourself the most opportunities if you're not 100%.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they seem really committed to seeing the process through, even if they have leanings or an idea of who the favorite is. It’s smart to me from a logical standpoint but I get how as a fan it could seem annoying with all the reports floating around now.

Gantt has confirmed this...repeatedly.

That's why I shake my head at scenarios that involve the decision already being made.

Yeah that makes sense. I get that it’s probably Young and that’s where they are leaning, but man if it is not a lot of people on here will look silly…

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
