This is the classic argument that doesn't fix itself. You don't suddenly start to become less injury prone if you have been for years.

Hayward is another in a long line of extremely poor FA decisions under the Jordan/Bobnets era.

Thomas Davis was the exception to that injury prone rule. But yeah, usually once the injuries start piling up, they keep piling up.

Hayward made sense the first time the team tried to acquire him when he was a restricted free agent during the Kemba and Big Al days. Hayward was still young and not injury prone at that point but signing him to a max or near max contract like they did years later, was dumb.

Hayward needs to go simple and plain. I'll take Scoot or Miller. But one thing Hornets fans need to recognize is we need consistent three point shooting. Yes defensive effort has been a problem that we've been trying to correct but in this league now you have to win from the 3 and we've had too many guys chucking up hero balls with no accuracy. Melo is the only one of that group that has shown a real level of consistency. You build around that. I still think this front office needs a house cleaning. I just can't allow myself to get overly hyped about the 2nd pick and our other picks after seeing how Kupchak navigated last years draft and how he has us now saddled with Hayward's albatross of a contract. Pair that with the fact we are for some reason still strangely keen on continuing the Steve Clifford reunion I'm having a hard time seeing a path to any playoff runs in the near future.

Even if this was true (which it isn’t) what is the fascination with short sg???
reality check Terry shouldn’t start..

It's not ideal I'm just thinking about how he could share the court with Ball.

Better than Terry is a stretch I'll give you that, but everyone had the same concerns about LaMelo and Scoots a better shooter than he was coming in.

Ya think Orlando would give up the 6th pick for Melo?  I doubt it but let's say they did.  Scoot then at six take a forward.  Jarace Walker or Hendrickson.  Either of those guys could replace Hayward. Also why is everyone so adamant that Scoot and Melo can't coexist?  Style of play is different and could actually mesh. Personally, I don't like the optics of Miller and his gun incident and Bridges going two rounds with a woman.  We need a culture change.   Clifford is boring and is like the John Fox of basketball. Avoid the Ja Morant guy and send the wife beater elsewhere.  Hire Doc Rivers and draft Scoot.

Again it’s not a fit to have 2 ball dominanting guards on the court at the same time.. Add in the fact neither is a great defender.. It don’t fit..

Of course it's rigged fatboy Windhorst basically spilled the beans when he said Wemby knew he was going to San Antonio 2 months ago.

I already knew it was rigged, but having this confirmation basically sealed it.lol

when did he say this? got a link or sum?

Sadly it was far from the first extremely stupid decision of that sort.

I will be glad to be rid of all things related to Michael Jordan with this team. He is/was as bad of a FO/owner type as he was a great player.

I honestly wish he had been involved with some other franchise because it leaves his legacy in the area with a very troubling asterisk.

I hate when these stupid colloquial statements take off when kids start saying it and then adults parrot it like they are still in junior high! "He got that dog in him, he ain't got that dog in him". Miller is the best pick, he made a huge splash to start the season and got better throughout the year. In the tournament, he was hurt first of all, and there was a referendum every five seconds on whether he should be playing or not on all media platforms. The kid was dealing with a lot. If the big French kid wasn't in this draft San Antonio would have zero problems with drafting this kid and building around him. He is same height as PJ, but is longer and a better shooter.

And to the people being so lame and used to sucking hind teat that they are talking about trading Lamelo, how have you all even made this far in life? Charlotte used to be a place players wanted to be and they have heavily incentivized players staying for their first contract. Quit waiting for the sky to fall.

And I’m really starting to think this trading Lamelo poo is some fake trolls who are trying to speak that dumb poo into life..

I don't think it's impossible with new ownership. We really don't know what that would look like.

Truth be told, his injury history is also rather problematic.

If it's me personally making the decision, that's not something I am gonna do.

Do we really want Clifford developing this young a roster? I sincerely hope not.

So many great coaches are available.  I hope we let Clifford go and sign Williams, Rivers, or Nurse ASAP.  Let them have input on what they want to do at 2.  I think it should be Miller to pair with Melo.

I feel the same about those who say LaMelo's leaving every opportunity they can. This is a genuinely miserable fanbase though.
