Such a ridiculous and childish response with absolutely zero basis other than "He said something and it hurt me wittle feelings so I go poo poo in my diaper!"

It hurts absolutely nothing to keep him around in order to see what he has and if he develops into something backup material or if he develops into starter material and potential trade bait. It is so telling and pathetic that you would call him a "groupie", let alone flip him off for having an opinion that is both rational and makes sense for the betterment of the team. You are a shining example of why a tubby basement dwelling buffoon with chubby greasy troll fingers should not be allowed to peck away at his mommy's computer while she is upstairs fixing his Kid Cuisine microwave dinner.

Some ingrates in this forum have no class and act like children. Can't have an adult conversation without insults and derogatory comments....get lost.

What conversation?  He's at best qb3. Don't really need a conversation until young and Dalton were to get hurt

You only play that card when people don’t agree with you

how dare you walk on this earth and expect everyone to agree with you

Stop being so arrogant

If you disagree that's fine. That is what a discussion forum is all about. Being able to discuss and disagree is the basis for this place. Being a asshat and just throwing personal insults at people you do not know or agree with is juvenile and bullsh%t.

Anyone rooting for a guy on our roster to fail should be ignored.

Saying he has a low chance of success is fine and realistic.

Actively shitting on the guy, hoping he is cut…mouth breather thinking.

The better he is, the better our team is. We have insurance if Young goes down and/or we have a guy to trade for assets if he succeeds.

I disagree.

Saying he has a "low chance of success fine and realistic" is simply just talking, if not needlessly pontificating. First, you must define what "success" is within context. Within that same vein you must set realistic expectations. With this highly experienced coaching staff, the talent that Corral displayed during his collegiate career, and the determination that Corral has displayed to get where he is today notwithstanding many unfortunate (if not unfair) obstacles during his journey playing football, I feel that there are many reasons to believe that he can and will be successful. I understand that Corral has some things working against him, but he has some great things working for him as well.

Will he be our QB1? Probably not. Will he be an NFL QB for the next decade or more? I wouldn't bet against him. Obviously the passion and desire is still there, or he wouldn't have tweeted what he tweeted (and deleted).

Look, I know you were being positive while others seem to just want to troll, but I think that people are still suffering effects from the Rhule era. That was a clown show and Corral was akin to a marionette in the performance. He is free of those strings now, so whatever happened during that time no longer exists for me in reference to Corral. It's a totally new day, with open expectations.

I think it would be highly foolish not give Corral significant reps in camp if he shows that he's ready for them. That would be a very "Rhule thing to do."

People can say what they want, but Dalton is limited. That's exactly why he's a journeyman now. Sorry to spell it out, but sometimes that's the only way that some people seem to understand.

The other thing that plays into this is Young. How can people on one hand say that Young's historically small frame is a real concern---the risk of injury is this gigantic concern---and then say things to the effect that they hope that they never see Corral?

Yes, I'm saying it: you better be hoping that Corral ends up our QB2, and soon, because Dalton definitely ain't taking us anywhere we want to go in the event that Young goes down for any considerable amount of time.

It would be asinine to take away snaps from Young “to give Corral a chance”.

But, I’m all for him and Dalton to share the remaining snaps to see if he has what it takes to be a long term backup or starter for another team.

    • No saying he mostly sucks is saying that he doesn’t suck the minority of the time.   Like if he took 17 tests and had a couple of really good showings and a handful of pretty good scores sprinkled in among the typical sub par results.   Like a golfer who went out and shot an 89.  There will be some real nice shots sprinkled in there but at the end of the day it is still 89.
    • It's worth mentioning... Game 1: Oct 11 in Raleigh. 4-3 OT win with a complete starting lineup. Game 2: Dec 13 in Philly. 4-3 SO win without Jaccob Slavin. Game 3: Dec 14 in Raleigh. 3-2 SO win with a complete starting lineup. Game 4: Apr 13 in Philly. 3-2 SO loss with the AHL roster.  Those early season games were no indication of the Canes team that finished the season. Miller and Ehlers were still trying to figure things out, Nikishin was still a work in progress and the Stankoven line was just another line. Make no mistake, the Canes team Philly will see is nothing close to what they saw at any point in the season. If the top line starts producing, Freddie stays hot and the blue line does what it does, this could be a sweep as well.
