Watch his college film. Most of his throws are to dudes wide open. He doesn’t throw them open or thread needles. He can find the open guy, but they have to be super wide open. If he didn’t play for Bama he’d be a 5th round project. Stroud should have been the pick, but yano, single mom household with no super computer brain over analyzed bullshit.

Thats what i fear. The FO fell in love with the person not the player and they were too stupid to see past that.

He might be an amazing person with high character. Hell he might even deserve to be the #1 pick. But that doesn’t make him the best player.

Think...  how fuging wild is it that this guy canr complete a pass deeper than 20 yards AND you have to sub him out on short yardage.  I have never seen any fuging thing like this in my life and I just watched 3 years of a greasy ass car salesman coach the team with nothing but an expertise in business and marketing.  This poo is unreal.  We have two former pro QBs as the HC and QB coach with oodles of pro experience and they actually thought that poo was acceptable and went it did it.

So...handle him like Matt Rhule would? 😕

Pat Mahomes didn't start his first season. Rodgers didn't start till year 3.

Cam started training camp his rookie year as 3rd string and worked his way up during camp and preseason.

It's not about Rhule ignoring his rookie QB or his bs 50/50 reps for Baker and Darnold. It's about learning and earning your reps before being named the starter. The game is just too fast for Bryce as we saw these past two games.

I would do an avatar bet with anyone that Young will not be benched this season. Also, if Young is so weak that he can't handle playing poorly this season, then it's already over for us. Spoiler alert, he looks like he thinks like a computer and is unfazed by the game.

My concern there is that because Young doesn’t have elite physical traits he will get baited by disguises. There’s isn’t going to be any magic. Either the answer is schemed open or it’s a throw away.

It's the play calling, they are not letting him go out there and just play, he is thinking too much, they should have gotten a receiver like Zay Flowers, Jordan Addison  or Josh Downs to play in the slot to work  the middle of  the  field  or take the top of the defense, too many  receivers on the team with the same skillset, all bunched in no speed in the slot, the guy they got from  Kansas City can do it if they even try letting him

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
