I wasnt sold on Reich from the start but decided to give him a chance. I'm starting to believe he just isn't very good. Indy dropped him like a hot rock for a reason. Whatever happened to "we need a young offensive minded coach" anyway?

It’s the same poo that’s happening in hockey. Old coaches get on the circuit and just tend to stick when clearly the game has moved far past them.

you’ve gotta understand, people here get really attached to certain things and thus diminish others. The bengals passing on penei Sewell for jamarr chase was heretical. The saints trading an extra 1 for a wide out is laughable.

they genuinely cannot process what you’re saying. Shouldn’t a strong running attack mean you can save money at receiver? What if we just like played with more grit?

according to our coaches ‘now that we have Young we can focus on defense’ lmao

Doesn’t make me feel better that our first overall QB needs a perfect team around him to succeed. That is the same excuses people made about Sam Darnold. He would be good if the team around him was.

I don't t think anyone is claiming he needs a "perfect" team. Serviceable would be nice but they are miles away from even that.

We don’t have a single receiver that is ever “NFL open” because they can’t make NFL catches. Comparing Olave to us is wild lol.

My point is if we DID have Olave or someone of his caliber Bryce would not have given him the chance so we would never know.

How was I comparing receivers?

While Tua has put up some impressive games, if you watch them play, he singlehandedly leaves so many points and big plays on the field every week, especially since they got Tyreek.  I can't count the number of times that ive turned their games on and Tyreek beat his man over the top but has to work his way back to an underthrown ball 40 some yards down the field.  To his credit though, at least he tries those passes.  Bryce wont even do that.

Every QB misses guys, that's the NFL. Tua has improved dramatically from his rookie season to now. Why? Experience. Coaching. Weapons.

How many of those does Bryce have right now?

I'm not trippin, I do think Frank should let Thomas start calling plays though. We only lost by three and we played like dog water on offense. I'm a little flabbergasted at how bad Miles Sanders has been. We definitely need a power back in the stable. Definitely a rebuilding year.

Sanders sucks too.  Hes not fast.  Hes not powerful.  Hes not shifty.  And hes not really a threat in the passing game.  fug him.  Start Hubbard.

We don't have anyone close to Olave on this team so, how would you know that? One good receiver could open up the field. Other teams know we don't have one so they can stuff the line of scrimmage and pressure the QB. Also there is no running threat to speak of, again limiting options.

We literally also subbed him out multiple times on 4th and 1s last night, which in all of my years of watching football, I have NEVER seen.

The chiefs literally do this every sneak play. They have the tight end take the sneak.

we did this during cam’s come back season. The patriots did it with gronk earlier in the dynasty years. The saints did it with taysum hill…..

either you are choosing to not remember, haven’t watched much football , or just need to try to make your post sound even more oblivious.

At this point after how he played last night I would be happy if he's just a decent starter for the next several years for us. I guess anything could happen. But let's be honest the comparing our guy to hall of famers coping mechanism hasn't done us any favors. He's not in that zip code. Maybe he could be someday. I don't know that it will be with this staff and our GM definitely isn't doing him any favors with the incompetence in building a real NFL offense around a QB.

None of us really know what goes on behind the scenes, but at times our FO amazes me.

Last season Donta Foreman played extremely well. He almost reached a 1,000 yards despite not even starting a game after a quarter of the season was completed. Chubba Hubbard was a good compliment to him. They combined for nearly 1,400 yards on the ground and averaged over 4.5 yds per carry. They let Foreman go in the offseason. Our running game was fine last season. Now Donta in Chicago on a one year deal for $2million. We signed Miles Sanders to a 4year/$25.4 mil deal (over $6mil per year). That's not bad for a running back with Sanders skill set and 2022 production. But, we really didn't need him. We could have used that money elsewhere...like the WR position or on the defense.

Our backs  clearly showed that they were well suited for our O-line. We didn't lose any starters to other teams. We kept our o-line coach. Last years running game would be a benefit to Bryce. It limits the number of times he has to drop back, take time off of the clock to limit the other teams time of possession, and it opens up the  play-action pass.

Now, we're lacking that the above elements and it's really affecting our ability to move the ball and score points.
