Can we trade for a WR1?

My god.  Defense is the only functional unit on this team.  A single WR, much less one a team is willing to part with is not going to solve the offensive issues.  We just need to play some game managing ball like Atlanta is doing with Ridder and let our defense give us a chance.  Give Bryce & Co time to get better.  Trading away players from our defense is NOT the answer at all.

If only we had a generational running back that we picked 8th overall that would take some pressure off the qb

That guy is injury prone. Rams force fed him for 2 straight years. He's probably seen his best days.

That plus he is just a better version of Thielen.  A slot possession WR who is good at finding holes in the defense.  Kupp just plays for one of the best offensive minds in the game.  Oh and we have his former assistant (Thomas Brown) but refuse to let him call plays....

Novel thought but instead of looking for a 1, why not try and find a few guys that can actually get separation. I don't care if they came from FugRhule U. The leading receiver in the NFL right now was a 5th round comp pick nobody. Surely there's a few guys out there available that can actually get a step on someone. How can they be worse than what we're seeing right now?

And keep CMC and Moore for Young. Hindsight is always 20/20, but it sure seems like most of the realistic fans have better ideas than what the team actually does. Oh, but we can’t play GM.

Here’s one to gnaw on, the trade value we gave up and used to draft Corral and DJ Johnson is almost the same as the trade value we got for CMC. We gave up more to get Darnold than we got for CMC. We gave up about half the trade value we got for CMC to get CJ Henderson.

Fitterer has really put this team in a bad situation

Trade for Cooper Kupp - he’s a #1 and the Rams need cap space.  They have 2 guys that have stepped up in Kupps absence.

That's because Kupp is a system wr that has begun the injury stage of his career. If anything, i would try for Puka Nacua, but the Rams aren't stupid.  It would make perfect sense for Fitterer to make the Kupp trade because he is an idiot. We traded down to take Jonathan Mingo who never got any separation at Ole Miss (go look at his college highlights) and won't get any separation now. Pretty tough to step up to the NFL speed when you have no one that can create space. This wr bunch would be taxing on a vet let alone a rookie.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
