They have the most talented offense in the NFL. We traded our only legit WR and a ton of draft capital to go get our franchise QB. When you make a move like that it's because you think you're getting a guy that you don't have to surround with elite talent because your ability to do so is going to be severely limited. We're going to have to be wizards in FA and the mid-late rounds to make this experiment work.

Ultimately, yeah I think the Tua comparison is apt but our ability to recreate what the Dolphins have is going to be a real uphill battle.

Do they have the most talented offense?  People were down on Tua, the OL doesn't make many stars, they have journeymen RBs, I don't know who their TE even is, Waddle has been hurt.  They have Hill and a great offensive minded HC.  Robbie Chosen had the second most receiving yards on one catch with a TD.

People get too caught up in star power. You don't necessarily need All-Pros across the board when you have good talent across the board with no glaring weaknesses.

I totally agree.  Tepper will definitely go all out next offseason. He will try his hardest not to allow Reich/Young to fail so horribly if he can help it.

Expect Fitterer to change his normal philosophy and overpay quite a few FA signings.

Not sure what signs Tepper has given that he cares in the least bit about winning...

It’s scheme/coaching to me. Who is their TE? Robbie Chosen had a 68 yard TD and they probably just signed him for pennies. The funny thing is fans were wanting to fire McDaniels for Sean Payton. Overreacting fans can be very short sighted.

Same uncertainty about Tua as with Bryce back when he started. Bigger then Bryce (6'1 225) by a bit. Analysts said he had a weak arm and wasn't athletic enough.

He couldn't hit the long pass with accuracy, if he even got the ball to the WR's at all on deep throws.

He was fragile and the 3 concussions had proven their point. Just a bullsh* t narrative. All the misgivings about him proved to be unfounded.

Fins surrounded him with WR's who had speed and could actually catch. Also a good running game and great inventive schemes to spread the field and get them open.

Exactly what they should be doing for Bryce. This is what they should be working towards for him (and the team), to be successful. I don't know if the coach or the GM can accomplish it.....if not then find people who can.

So Tua is 4 inches taller and 30 lbs heavier? Throws a better deep ball, throws with more velocity, better anticipation, and is now on to no look passes with the fastest team in the history of rhe NFL. Yes, let's replicate alllll of it. The Raiders tried this for decades and failed.

There is only one Tyreek Hill man. There has never been anyone like him in NFL History. You might be able to go find someone who is fast, who is thick, who can run routes, and who can catch, but usually you're picking from those traits. Hill has all of them. He's a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Tua was also better than Bryce at Alabama with the same type of players. If it was easy to build what the Dolphins have on offense everyone would've already done it as well. Regardless, they are one Tua concussion from being back to the basics.

Lastly, Bryce already got hurt, in Week 2. So that shows his longevity. I find it insane that people will still defend taking Bryce over Richardson or Stroud when both of them are doing a lot more with a lot less than what the Panthers have on offense and one of them has a defensive minded head coach (cough, keep Wilks, cough).

Maybe Bryce pans out long-term, maybe he doesn't. But he's going to require an All-Star cast of characters whereas the Colts and Texas appear to have gotten guys that can elevate others. That alone makes expenditures on other facets if the team much easier.

Tyreek and Waddle is like:

Smith and Brown

Higgins and Chase

Like there isn't too many better 1-2 combos than that to throw the ball to. The Dolphins had the #4 passing offense in football last year. Those two receivers combined went over 3k yards last year. Mostert averaged 4.9 a carry last year and just under 900 yards. The backup averages 5.2. Their line is terrific.

Waddle didn’t play in that 70 point game.

The big difference here is that the Dolphins actually built this the right way. They fully embraced a full REBUILD!! They traded their star players away for future draft picks, traded Fitzpatrick, Laremy Tunsil for draft assests and flipped some of those into Tyreek Hill. We are currently half-assing everything here.

Our team here is lacking talent. We need to trade Burns away for future assets. He has gone MIA in these past 2 games. With these injuries to our starters, Fitt has failed to find good depth for some of our positions. When you look back at things, it's actually not really a surprise that we suck.
