Seriously though if he forces reich to give up play calling duties that is at least a positive step.  If he fires reich going into the bye at 0-6 and promotes EE I could get on board with that as well.

So it does seem like what the Afternoon Rush was talking about yesterday has some legs

I am wondering if EE will even take it. Since he refused the interim HC job with the Broncos.
If he accepts it it will probably be because Tepper said he has a real chance to be our HC.

So he is upset that his analytics QB choice is not NFL ready? Maybe he needs to stop looking at numbers and charts to tell people what to do and let the football people make decisions.

I'd imagine that it has to be much deeper than just Bryce's first 3 games of development

Would yoy trust a word Tepper says if you were EE after just firing the HC 6 games in?

It might be time for fans to start booing Tepper and making signs about meddling owners.

Tepper’s lack of patience is why the team is in this mess.

He needs to…

STOP trading the future for stupid ‘win now’ bets.

STOP making demands and let this org stabilize. Consistency and stability in staff and the front office is required for a winning team.

STOP thinking this team can win now. The Panthers are 3-4 years of decent drafts away from winning at a minimum.

He really cannot fire Reich 6 games in, I mean that would be some fuged up poo

He can fire Fitt.  That really the only place to go when it comes time to feed the angry football god.  Which does nothing to make us better today.

Can't even blame the OC when it's Frank call the plays out of his core O.  But Frank has done it before.

No doubt…but his constant meddling for a franchise QB forced the issue to make terrible decisions and give up valuable draft picks which is a big reason for why we are here now…

CMC, DJ just to name 2 questionable decisions

    • Bad teams with new coaches that want to make a splash with big passing games kill young QBs. Solid teams that can lean on the run and play-action give a chance for QBs fresh out of college to grow and learn how to dictate a game. A lot of these guys, and maybe even Bryce, aren't horrible but they are being asked to go in and be something unrealistic. They are expected to be able to put out raging dumpster fires after being handed a bucket and being told to go find some water.  And I think we see some of these guys who were labeled as busts eventually developing into serviceable, sometimes decent, sometimes quite good QBs when they land at a well-built team with good coaching and a solid identity. Mayfield, and Darnold are two that come to mind right now. And the two Joneses are certainly showing more in Indy and San Fran than they'd ever really shown before. But we're a shoddily built team that has been weakly coached into a softer style of football that puts crazy amounts of pressure on young QBs. Heck, even Andy Dalton with his experience really couldn't sustain any results here.
    • 1. Charlotte has been very good to Smitty and his comment is out of line.  2. XL is Smitty, just 180 degrees out of phase. He is the quintessential anti-Smith. Give 89 the ball and he will win a game for you. His high gear was terrifying and he was fearless. He was the bully on every snap he ever played here.  XL is Mr alligator arms who lives in fear of contact. He gets boxed out by guys he outweighs by 40 pounds and looks generally clueless.  Why he has chosen to defend someone he would have BBQ’ed as a teammate stumps me.
    • Fake outrage from an entertainer... And yes he would have absolutely chewed him out on the field for that kind play.
