He really needs to stop those throws where he literally jumps in the air like a frog with his shoulders square to the field and then tries to throw. What in the poo is that? Nolan Ryan couldn't generate any velocity like that.

Yeah, he has some issues that will need correction. I am not off the Bryce bandwagon yet but he was not the advertised "most ready to play" guy. That was completely false.

I am fine with him learning this season. I am not gonna jump all over Bryce. I am going to be the first on the "Fire Reich" train, however.

This guy has to fuging go. I mean ASAP.

I'm not mad at Bryce. I have full confidence he's doing the best he can. The only time I truly blame the player is if they look like they're loafing or clearly just showing a bad attitude, etc. If the players suck and they're trying, it's not their fault. It's on the staff and talent evaluators.

He must be like me; easily bothered by ignorance.

Some people are just so proud they consider any differing opinion to be "ignorance". Meanwhile we're 0-5 and the media narrative is increasingly becoming that Bryce isn't looking the part. Is the "ignorance" proving to be contagious?

Standing there staring at your clipboard with a slight eyebrow tilt isn’t awe inspiring. The team needs a kick in the behind, not a slightly disappointed uncle on the sideline. I don’t think I’ve seen a team so confidence - less. Rhules teams didn’t look this bland and scared, and I’ve been the anti Rhule guy since day one. Stoic Ron is sorely missed compared to this oatmeal master. I’m right there with you on the Reich firing. It’s not the right fit. Teams shouldn’t give up by week 5. No one cares, no one’s accountable. No ones firing anyone up. We need someone with juice and inspiration. Now.

I'm not suggesting I can't be wrong. Truth be told I don't know if Bryce is the guy, but I do think he deserves more of a chance than many fans are giving him.

At this point it's clear this isn't a playoff team, so everyone just needs to calm the hell down and breathe. Today wasn't pretty but I actually felt better about Bryce after this game than after any other game this season.

This was the first time they seemed to take the handcuffs off of Bryce. He made some mistakes, but also some really nice plays. I'll take that as a win, even in a loss.

I can tell you that in person the only time they got life on the sidelines was after Zavala got injured.

So…. When the defense just decided to play soft zones, he was able to complete easy passes.

Exactly what I’m looking for from the #1 pick of the draft

That’s what Bryce faced in college. He’s a bust. A promising rookie QB will make mistakes. Bruce can’t even push the ball down the field. He’s too small and weak to play in the NFL and this franchise is f*cked for at least the next 3-5 years. I hate David Tepper for ruining the Panthers and I can’t wait until I outlive him

Bro we watched a different game

He sucks. I just watched the highlights and out of curiosity I did the math on his velocity. The first Chark throw and the Chark TD where he's trying to putnsome mustard on the ball are going like 50mph lol. 50mph is 1 second per 25 yards so pretty easy math with a stopwatch

Was it just me, or did the left side seem to settle in better with Mayes came in for Zavala?  It is great to hear that Zavala is coming back with the team, but he was played like a flaming bag of dog doo.

Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt the bash on Panthers party, but I was just wondering if anyone else noticed that?

We spend all of these resources to trade up to number one, we spend all of this money on coaches that are pure specialists- old and new. There’s no reason the teams effort should he this poor. A junk team like Arizona tries hard every game, Houston seems to have a stable foundation and they’ve made Stroud comfortable with less options. Every single time Laviska touches the ball, something great happens, but let’s continue to use him 2-3 times a game only. Yeah obviously Bryce hasn’t looked great, but I don’t know many rookies who’d come into this nervous , nonchalant mess, and be successful. There’s no reason to hold onto Reich any longer. The team isn’t going to magically buy into his soft methods of coaching and we need a sideline guy who looks like he gives a damn.

    • Good, our ST is almost as bad as our ILB depth!
    • With two starters on expiring contracts (Moton + Corbett) as well as a few back-ups (Christensen, Mays, and Nijman), the Panthers are likely going to have to reinvest in the OL after this coming season. Icky's fifth-year option was picked up by the team this offseason while Lewis and Hunt both remain under contract then (though Lewis' deal is set-up in a way that would let Carolina move on from him then as well). I think that the team is going to be looking at investing a premium pick at RT should Bryce's development continue, and might even look to double dip at the position in order to have a swing tackle that can also kick inside when needed. There's also the question of starting center... Prospects I'm watching this upcoming college season... Centers Jake Slaughter (Florida) Iapani Laloulu (Oregon) Connor Lew (Auburn) Logan Jones (Iowa) Parker Brailsford (Alabama) Connor Tollison (Missouri) Bryce Foster (Kentucky) Pat Coogan Notre Dame) Raheem Anderson (Michigan) Carson Hinzman (Ohio State) RTs Francis Mauigoa (Miami) Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) Spencer Fano (Utah) Gennings Dunker (Iowa) Blake Miller (Clemson) Isaiah World (Oregon) Caleb Tiernan (Northwestern) Monroe Feeling (Georgia) Earnest Greene III (Georgia) Monroe Mills (Louisville) Charles Jagusah (Notre Dame) Tree Babalade (South Carolina) Trey Zuhn III (Texas A&M) Nolan Rucci (Penn State) Tristan Leigh (Clemson) Fernando Carmona (Arkansas) JC Davis (Illinois) Riley Mahlman (Wisconsin) PJ Williams (SMU) Tosh Baker (Notre Dame) Aki Ogunbiyi (Texas A&M) Courtland Ford (Kentucky) Ethan Onianwa (Rice)
    • I watched documentary on the 2010 Auburn season and Cam wasn’t included in that either. I think he just doesn’t care for these things
