odd deal is besides the 6 SBs, 9 trips, 17 out of 20 fielding a top ten D.......bill sign a extension this past off-season. it was kept form the press.

I think kraft wants bill to break the all-time wins as a patriot, then retire.

how can you fire a guy that won 6 SBs, during the hardest/FA era??

Bill will get to retire on his timeline, provided he doesn't take the controls and nosedive for the next couple of years.

Frank getting fired before week 13 year one would be historic. Even urban Meyer lasted longer. There is basically no precedent to firing a head coach mid season in year one. It takes some egregious actions to do so and frank has been the model coach off the field.

Even if Frank got fired, this has to be hands down the worst head coach opening in a decade. Meddling owner who yells at you if you don’t win, no talent, no draft picks. Who wants to come here!?

During  Frank Reich's his entire head coaching career, his two teams combined for a losing record of 41-46-1 across six seasons including going 1-2-0 in the playoffs.

Why did Tepper think Reich could flip a switch and go from being a loser to an instant  winning coach?

my question too.... 5 min google search would answer it... Apparently that was not taught in the training that Nicole went to....

He’d make the top 5 list of shortest stints with a team.

and in fairness, our offensive HC isn’t getting yelled at for losing.  We can handle losing.  Tepper is in his ass because he is making Matt Rhule look like a creative and offensive guru.  Frank is flat out doing a horrible job.

It's honestly worse than Hackett the other season.  One of the worst HC-ing jobs in the modern era.

He's made just as bad in-game calls as Hack.  And honestly, Fitt/Reich have made worse personnel moves compared to any of the recent 1 and dones.  We can barely manage a scoring drive with a #1 overall pick.  It's egregious.  Totally fireable after the Boys game.

I feel like Matt Lafleur should have better odds of being fired. Green Bay is a train wreck

How has Jordan Love been playing? Many people expected him to be awesome this season. I collect NFL cards and expected his to go up some when I got them cheap a year or so ago but have noticed his cards have dipped some in value so I guess he hasnt looked very good?

He really hasn’t. He’s had more good plays than Young, but he’s been in the NFL for years now. He was supposedly tearing poo up in the offseason but sometimes you feel like the coaches having training wheels on him and then other times he’ll make some awful throws. Again, he’s shown more highlights than we have have but he’s a 25 year old in his 4th season.

No way O’Connell gets fired lol. They won like 13 games last year and a shot to make the playoffs with no cousins this year.   Also Staley is definitely gone unless they at least when one playoff game

And the Vikings just keep winning which says a helluva lot about their organization. No Jefferson, no Cousins, no problem? How many teams could lose a Top 3 receiver and probably a Top 13 QB and continue to win?

O'Connell will get his respect this year.

    • I get it's subjective and I said "PFF rated him as" one of the top deep ball passers during that time, which is an accurate statement.  They are still a group of professionals that look at film and data in order to make their judgements/ratings.  These people whose data has been incorporated into a lot of teams' staffs view Bryce's deep throws as some of the best in the league during that stretch.  That tells me that he can probably throw a deep pass vs the Huddle's version of he is small and didn't do it his rookie year so he must not be able to.  That and literally seeing him do it just makes me feel he is more than capable of doing so.   Do you think PFF is skewing their opinion to prop up a QB in a bottom tier franchise?  It's just another group's opinion and I feel is pretty respected around the league currently.  It's not the gospel truth or anything.
    • I still remember how happy I was that gettlegut was not the GM once he picked Jones, that was a firing pick and well..... If not for the raiders drafting Clelin Ferrell, it was the biggest draft day mistake in the last 20 some years.
    • He had 251 passing yards. 3 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. All in all a very impressive game. Problem is I do not envision his rushing ability translating like that over the course of the upcoming season. Yeah it will be something to account for from time to time but one it's not sustainable and two you don't want to put his durability to the ultimate test against a motivated defender willing to take a penalty and a fine. And plus with our backfield. Two 1k yard rushers. That's what they're here for. Then we have a much improved WR room. That means Bryce has to elevate those passing numbers substantially. The fact of the matter is regardless of circumstances it did take him 23 games to surpass Kyle Allen's single season passing yardage from 13 games in 2020. And that is not a high bar by any means. Whatever QB tier Bryce ends up in from here amongst his peers this upcoming season when it's all said and done it will be with his arm.
