Shouldn't They Try Some new WRs? 🤔

I'm getting sick and tired of seeing Mingo Chark and TMJ underperform. Why not give ISM and some other some chances? They're 1-8 what would they have to lose? Do they just not care?

Is there just no point given Bryce /o line can't do well enough to get the ball to them?

They are just going through the motions at this point. The white flag was waved furiously a while back. Maybe they try for a 65 yard field goal versus Dallas?

I warned people all off-season about our lack of talent at WR.

People kept talking about TMJ potential. The guy has shown nothing his entire career. Mingo is a unproven rookie.

The fact that Thielen is our best WR shows you just how bad we are at that position. I don't think Bryce is a superstar talent, but we have to get the guy something to work with on offense.

I like that Fitt tried to get Higgins and Adams at the trade deadline. At least they recognize we need a #1 WR. Also I'm thinking Tee Higgins will be out #1 priority in FA this off-season.

Strachan had a big 45 yard gain and one other target and I don't think he saw the field after that much.

There's also Smith-Marsette who has the athletic ability and speed but idk about his route running...because we haven't played him on offense.

We have a staff full of incompetence. Those two should be seeing the field regularly. Chark should get moved for some depth somewhere as he is useless.

Im going to give you credit where its due. You wanted Hopkins and some other top tier free agent WR's and I was one of the people who said we didnt need them but I was wrong and you were right so pie for you.

I want us to either trade for Aiyuk or sign Hollywood Brown this offseason. If we can sign Hollywood we should also draft a weapon early. Hollywood, AT, Tez (or another rookie), plus 2nd year Mingo is s solid group for Young to work with. Mingo can become our slot when AT is done.

The lack of YAC guys is what’s probably the most infuriating thing that mostly everyone could see going into the year.

We have 2 guys that have some YAC ability in Chark and Shenault and it’s like we refuse to even scheme them open. I mean, let’s run some simple concepts to get them space, shallow cross them for Bryce. Serve them something in the move.

Otherwise, I mean, what’s Shi Smith up to? Still on TEN’s PS? Might as well scan the FAs right now and see if there’s better options for Bryce.

I would keep putting Mingo out there since he is a rookie who needs this valuable playing time to see if he can develop into something. The rest of them besides AT, who really cares.

TMJ, I would just flat out cut his ass since he just doesn't seem to care or be motivated. He wants a trade but nobody wants to trade anything for him other than a stale bag of Takis.

Chark, if you plan accordingly for him that he will play half the games each season maybe you can get some production out of him on another team that actually has competent coaching and a QB who isn't scared to push the ball down the field and actually has time to throw the ball with even a half way marginal line to block.

Shenault, I really like him and want it to work with him here but we can't seem to find ways to get him the ball as a gadget player. He does not seem like a WR who is someone that you can count on to expertly track a deep pass and take it all the way but he seems like he can be hell to deal with on shorter routes in some space. I would keep him around another year IF we could get ourselves coaches who are worth a poo and either Bryce gets over being a sub par QB or we get a QB who has the physical skills and mindset to QB and NFL team sort of like Stroud seems to have naturally.

I would say TMJ should be replaced immediately with anyone willing to work hard and show a little heart, Mingo keep.olayimg since it's a throw away year and see if he can develop into a consistent good WR, Shenault, keep if we plan to fire all our scrub ass coaches and get real coaches otherwise let him go find a real NFL team that actually wants to win to see if he can develop, AT is just fine keep him, and I don't even know who else we have.....

Remember how Thielen would provide veteran leadership in the WR room and elevate those around him?

Dude has been way too busy carrying the room to do any coaching.

    • Good, our ST is almost as bad as our ILB depth!
    • With two starters on expiring contracts (Moton + Corbett) as well as a few back-ups (Christensen, Mays, and Nijman), the Panthers are likely going to have to reinvest in the OL after this coming season. Icky's fifth-year option was picked up by the team this offseason while Lewis and Hunt both remain under contract then (though Lewis' deal is set-up in a way that would let Carolina move on from him then as well). I think that the team is going to be looking at investing a premium pick at RT should Bryce's development continue, and might even look to double dip at the position in order to have a swing tackle that can also kick inside when needed. There's also the question of starting center... Prospects I'm watching this upcoming college season... Centers Jake Slaughter (Florida) Iapani Laloulu (Oregon) Connor Lew (Auburn) Logan Jones (Iowa) Parker Brailsford (Alabama) Connor Tollison (Missouri) Bryce Foster (Kentucky) Pat Coogan Notre Dame) Raheem Anderson (Michigan) Carson Hinzman (Ohio State) RTs Francis Mauigoa (Miami) Kadyn Proctor (Alabama) Spencer Fano (Utah) Gennings Dunker (Iowa) Blake Miller (Clemson) Isaiah World (Oregon) Caleb Tiernan (Northwestern) Monroe Feeling (Georgia) Earnest Greene III (Georgia) Monroe Mills (Louisville) Charles Jagusah (Notre Dame) Tree Babalade (South Carolina) Trey Zuhn III (Texas A&M) Nolan Rucci (Penn State) Tristan Leigh (Clemson) Fernando Carmona (Arkansas) JC Davis (Illinois) Riley Mahlman (Wisconsin) PJ Williams (SMU) Tosh Baker (Notre Dame) Aki Ogunbiyi (Texas A&M) Courtland Ford (Kentucky) Ethan Onianwa (Rice)
    • I watched documentary on the 2010 Auburn season and Cam wasn’t included in that either. I think he just doesn’t care for these things
