Honestly this could be a good thing. If he is persuading our staff who to draft and what to do maybe his frustration will be a wake up call. This is pretty much all we can hope for at this point.

yeah I hope you are absolutely right.however with that said with David Tepper's track record as of date &  just like going into the locker room this afternoon & screaming obscenities at the team after the game just goes to show you that yeah he is going to be involved & heavily involved at that ...just saying

I don't care if he sets up permanent residence in the locker room as long as he stays out of any and all football decisions.

But I'm not holding my breath waiting on that happening.

No owner stays out of football decisions. Especially one like Tepper. It’s a fantasy world.

This is how normal people operate. It's not how egomaniacal billionaires generally act. If anything, he'll probably think he needs to be even more involved.

Absolutely not true at all. Reich said so himself and he’s a dinosaur. Hell, even JR hired someone to make those decisions. It’s also rare an owner create a round table of personnel making those decisions that includes his wife, who is just an inept as the owner, along with giving a spot to a customer service rep who has no clue about football decisions either. And so 3/6 of that ‘round table’ are already in agreeance. Thats rare. It’s beyond egotistical. It’s NOT how other owners do things. See where I’m going with this ? 1-10. You think a coach will be hired and some in and argue with half the table? Lol

Why are you acting like Tepper, his operation, and his weekly meetings are happening all over the league? They aren’t.

Name an owner not involved. You’re already incorrect if you think Jerry “don’t get any tattoos” Richardson wasn’t involved

Fair I agree with you honestly at least Jerry knew football though...

People can crap on Tepper for the pick but honestly I'm more po'd at the retread coach who doesn't understand modern routes or playing to the teams strengths (power running)

    • It's amazing how much yall can say the same things over and over and not annoy yourselves with it.
    • If you only look at measurables, Mingo and Legette might seem similar.  But when you actually look at them and watch them play, they aren't close to the same.   And this is coming from someone who is skeptical about Legette, although ultimately I believe he will work out.  I've just always disagreed with the comparisons to Mingo.   Mingo tests better than he plays/runs, whereas Legette plays/runs as well as he tests.
    • As bad as things were with the Panthers last year, we still had 4 other games outside of the 2 we won that we came very close to winning.  Could throw the Falcons game in there too, it was tied going into the 4th. I'm not really sure what to expect this year.  I don't think we'll make the playoffs.  However, we play in a very weak division where no team has a standout QB.  On paper, our OL should be good, and could be great if Ikem improves.  That alone could help mask a lot of problems on offense.  Should allow us to run the ball better.  Even if Bryce doesn't improve, the OL should at the very least give him more time to make the easy throws underneath and let a guy like Legette work his magic after the catch. And I think this defense in a 2nd year with Evero should, at the very least, be in the top 16.  I'm expecting our run defense to be as good as it has been in years. I think this team could push for 7-8 wins.  But it could also finish with 2 wins again.  That is just how the league works.  Jets offense was miserable last year, and yet they still won 7 games.   We won't really get a good feel of it until after the preseason, and even then, who knows.
