With his down season in a contract year, he is looking more like a 15-20m player, if that.

Why don't you wait and see instead of assuming exactly what's happening?  

I know what's been printed.  I know what's been said.  I was always raised to wait to see the cold hard facts. At this point it'd nothing but conjecture.

Burns should be in the $20-25 mil range on a long term deal.

At this point, IDGAF about what his camp thinks or that trade that LA offered.

That ship sailed and then he played this season. If anything, his market value probably regressed slightly. 

Ideally we work it out for a reasonable deal on a reasonable length.

If he really does want to stay here, I am guessing we probably do see two years of franchise tag play.

Five seasons of the same film aren't enough "cold hard facts"? Dude is a good, not great, player that seems to want to be paid like one, be it guarantees or high overall salary. There is no other potential holdup.

Burns said last June he wanted to be paid as a ‘top pass rusher’. Which according to cold hard facts is roughly 30 million a year. That’s not conjecture. Conjecture would be thinking it’s anything else.

I think he ends up franchised unless he is realistic with a long term deal.  He is worth a good expensive contract IMO but not something ridiculous
