We thought Fitterer was promising at one time.

I just can't get too excited until the next GM is hired, and, more importantly, I see some work. Until then, all the promise is just theory at best or speculation at worst.

Oh I'm definitely not going to build up any expectations.  No use wasting extra energy...but at least this gives us reprieve to think we did something good before we suck again haha.

After some research on Champ Kelly, I think I would pass.

Guy recommended some horrible signings as Bears Director of Pro Scouting. You can go look but Garry Williams, Amini Silatolu, and Nate Chandler were 3 of them. (If you guys remember them)

Bears had a 48-65 record in his time their in Director of Pro Scouting and Asst. Director of Player Personnel.

Hell, he has a 14-20 record as AGM for the Raiders the last two years and their 7th overall pick is heading in the bust direction.

Yeah.  Both seem promising.

Not that I know they're specific roles but with Dodds - I've really liked the Colts last 2 draft classes.  Was a BIG JuJu Brents and Downs fan.  And the Raiders finally had a decent draft last year after enough separation from that strange Mayock/Gruden era.

I remember some of my research regarding Dodds during the last cycle. The thing that stuck out the most was that he insisted on absolute control, no interference from anybody.

Wasn't hard to figure out why he declined the chance to work with Matt Rhule.

I think that the next hires may tell the story. If we wire a GM and HC that's worth a damn, we'll likely get back to competitive football. If not, we may just become the newest iteration of the Jets.
