He shouldn't. He's supposedly the star and a leader on the team. The reality is that he's just as bad his pals when it comes to accountability.

This. Melo better get his ass in gear, for what he is paid, he needs to actually step us and lead. He needs to understand that leaders don't act like immature brats like he does.

Get on the court and contribute, ya idiot.

He is gonna have to step up and mature and be a leader if this team wants to be any good.  He strikes me as the type of athlete that doesn’t care what the score is as long as he gets his.

I just don’t see Melo ever being a leader or taking accountability in any way, but I’m totally basing that on who his dbag pops is

His pops has been out of the spotlight for years now. You can no longer bring up Lavar Ball as the problem.

Btw has this dude ever been to a Charlotte game in person? I never recalled seeing him at a game.

He has been to a few games for sure but is mostly staying quiet. Melo hopefully will mature like most humans do when the teen and early twenty years are in the rear view mirror. He needs to wear his damn ankle braces as well.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
