No team in N.C so far. What fo you think about the new spring league?. Will you give it a shot if the quality of play is good? Between our shittyy NFL team and all the referee bonehead calls and the constant swiffty BS (along with the streaming crap), are you getting tired of the NFL as it stands today?

Going by my history, I'll probably tune in early.

Whether or not I continue watching depends on the product.

Seems to be my story with this for a long time. I always start watching it, try to pick a team and then just get bored with it. The play level is usually pretty bad.

I've enjoyed watching the XFL the last couple years. Every once in a while a former NFL name pops up, someone trying to make it back. I remember watching Taylor Heineke and PJ Walker a few years back.

If there's nothing else to watch on a crappy weather day, it's fun to watch these guys fighting to make a name for themselves and maybe get some decent game film. There are plenty of scouts at these games too.

Pretty much. The skill level in the original XFL was just awful.

What I remember more than any of the actual plays or players are things like their bragging about having guys dive for the ball instead of tossing a coin to decide opening possession, only to see one of the first guys to take part in that bit wind up getting injured in the process.

That and listening to Jerry Lawler drool over the cheerleaders 😣

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
