If you remove fandom it honestly makes sense. We have a terrible owner, a bad roster, and we're tied to a QB that leaves a lot to be desired. WFT has draft assets, a better roster, and no Tepper. I hate it because I think he'll be a good coach.

I can only assume that Johnson made it clear in / after his first interview that he wasn't interested in the job. If we're demanding that Young is our starter in 2024 then most established candidates will look elsewhere.

Also I think people get way too tied up in good playcalling O/DCs being good HCs. It's an entirely different skillset.

Johnson might be a good offensive coordinator, but having a great oline would make a lot of offensive coordinators look good.  Throw in good running backs and a veteran qb, and that is why the Detroit offense looks so good.

Tepper created a toxic environment that I can't blame anyone for wanting to avoid.
