Senior Bowl Targets

His measured height is 6’0 not 6’3. I don’t know how THAT much difference is falsely listed unfortunately

I stand right at 6'1 and I've been right beside this dude and he definitely  was taller than me. My coworkers daughter and him have dated the whole tenure at South Carolina.  The dude is noticeable.  He soon to be father in law says all he talks about is training. I think the kid has a bright future!

Chark was speed but he did literally nothing for us.  We have speedy guys but they can't get open.  i attribute that to poor route running.  I personally don't believe we put alot of emphasis on route running.

I hear what you are saying but there has to be a happy medium in there somewhere.

There is a difference in speed and quickness.  We had a couple long striders who get going pretty fast in a straight line.  We need quick receivers.

Aye I saw that and I know that the dude definetly is imposing.  I didn't say he was towering but he was taller. He definitely  didn't look closer to 6 foot.

Adisa Isaac, Laiatu Latu, LaDarius Henderson, Roger Rosengarten, Sam Hartman, Ricky Pearsall, Brendan Rice, Luke McCaffrey, Ben Sinnott & Malik Mustapha for the Senior Bowl.

That National offense with the QBs & WRs with 2 national championship game OT bookends is going to be impressive. Those 3 WRs have great hands & body control. Rice & McCaffrey should perform well with their dads being trained in Bill Walsh's system. Those 2 edge rushers are going to be fun to watch as well.

I am looking forward to watching Pearsall.

Shrine Bowl has Devin Leary, Taulia Tagovailoa, Frank Gore Jr & the Murphy twins from UCLA.

Let's see how they perform. Always looking for those few standouts that drop in the draft.

I liked TE Ben Sinnott from last year. Didn’t get to see him this year and will have to look for highlights, but wouldn’t mind him drafting him in the middle rounds.

Edit: Just watched his 2023 highlights. He’s not as athletic as Laporta/Kincaid, but he is a reliable target and smart at finding holes in the defense. I’d start looking for him around late 4th.

Getting a crisp route runner is super important for an anticipation thrower like Young. We need guys that can get to the right spot, on time, consistently. Right now it seems like we have either guys who run good routes but take forever to get there (Thielen), or guys that have enough speed but crappy route running (Chark), or both slow and bad route running (Mingo).

If Leggett is there in the 2nd round, we should pounce imo

I read an article on him--second round grade--but they said that he would go in the first round if Al Davis were still alive--going after the size/speed ratio players (ineffectively).  I am less impressed than before after watching day 1 of the SR bowl practices, but he is having a better day today.

LOTS of WR/OL talent in Mobile. My thoughts:

  • WRs I like at varying spots in the draft:
    • McConkey, Roman Wilson, Corley, Rice, Thrash, & Cowing
  • WRs I don't want in process blue:
    • Legette, Walker, Johnny Wilson
  • I want Jackson Powers-Johnson at 33. He is a beast and might even go late 1st. He also took some reps at G and looked natural.
  • Wish we had a need for RT because Guyton is going to be a stud. Not sure if he can play LT, but I'm tired of trying to fit OL where they don't belong.
  • Love Darius Robinson, DL from Mizzou. He will be a luxury pick for us because he probably goes R2. Too many other needs, but he has shades of Maxx Crosby to him....just a violent, physical specimen.
  • Quinyon Mitchell probably punched his ticket to the first round yesterday and today. He is locked and loaded and would look phenomenal opposite Horn. Same as Robinson, just not going to fit our need/place he will be selected.

I think whether we pick a WR at 33 or 65, we will have a day 1 starter that will contribute. I also want us to throw multiple darts at WR the way Green Bay did. They used multiple picks in two years and now have a deep, talented, young receiving unit.

I saw Brugler saying he is a bit overrated and belongs more in the third round due to sloppy route running etc.

I’m with you on Jackson Powers-Johnson, as of today he could be my choice at 33 as well. I really like Ladd McConkey as well, he knows how to get open, and he has enough speed.
