A vastly under appreciated Panther

This is the play he drug 3 Philadelphia Eagles across the goal line on the way to winning the 2003 season NFC Championship 14-3 and going on to the Super Bowl.

I remember we watched this game at a sports bar in Greensboro and as soon as the game was over, we drove to Charlotte and joined the mob scene around BOA when the buses arrived from the airport at 2AM or something ridiculous. I remember the interior lights going on in the buses when they pulled into the stadium so the fans could see the players.

That was one of the best memories I have as a Panther fan back in the day.

Foster was soooo good. Yet another Panther who had all-world talent but couldn't stay healthy.

I love DeShaun Foster so much He did a phenomenal job and was due a promotion

I met him and peppers once many many years ago at a rec center. Peppers destroyed us in basketball and Foster was eating McDonald’s

DeShaun Foster was my favorite player for a time outside of Smitty. It would have been interesting to see how his career would have gone had he not broken his ankle. We desperately needed him in the NFCCG.

I also think we never really saw how good he could have been even in 03. He also fractured his knee and had cartilage issues the season before, and I think that might have capped his speed.

There was no denying him on that play (photo above). It was like watching him drag those guys slow motion into the endzone.

dude was a warrior when he was here. that fight was always in him and he was always pushing to get back on the field, no matter how many times he had to get pain killing injections in his foot before games...he was always going to give it everything he could.
