we had to do this.

No we didn't.

Fair play to his agent, he's done exactly what I said people would do "beat everyone else's offer by 20% and I'll entertain my client playing for your dumpster fire franchise".

Got a B grade from WalterFootball, higher than I thought we'd get because of the money:

Panthers Panthers sign G Robert Hunt (5 years, $100 million): B Grade
Bryce Young was terrible during his rookie year, but his offensive line was a disaster. Young didn’t exactly get a fair shake in his rookie year, but it looks like the Panthers will be providing one for him in his second season, at least based on this move.

This is more money than I thought Robert Hunt would receive, but I get it. Hunt is a very good blocker when it comes to both pass protection and the running game. He’s a massive upgrade in the interior. The Panthers still have lots of work to do, but this was a nice first step.

so is morgan already backloading deals? how much did the von bell release free up? these were neck and neck on announcement. If he's legit, plug him in at left guard unless they're going to make him the center, but man, draft a center at 33, put this guy on the left, brady on the right, this can help a lot.

He's a rg

5 years, 63M guaranteed with 26 in a signing bonus means the contract is a lot more cap friendly than it initially appears. plenty of flexibility. the splashy 100M number is good for his agent to show to prospective clients. the cap number for the Panthers should be a lot easier to swallow.

The $63m guaranteed is the splashy number he can show to his prospective clients - that's more than Mayfield got.

People need to stop complaining about the money. We have to pay to play.

People act like the salary cap isn't 250 mill. Iit increases every year, and literally only 3 people on this team are worth being paid above average salaries. We'll be fine.

I don't think there is a fanbase in existence more concerned with the cap than ours.  So weird.  I swear this group would be upset if we "overpaid" Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady.

Facts. I think a lot of these guys are aged under the Patriots run and still want to try and recreate that here without Tim Brady in a more competitive league.

    • Much conversation has been made recently of 650 million dollar Charlotte public money needed to refurbish the privately owned Carolina Panther Football Stadium.  Cities and their citizen money funding  is responsible for government offices, police, fire, parks, recreation and civic needs only.  Taxpayers should never have to fund private enterprises such as Professional Football, Baseball, Soccer, Racing and Basketball.   Any owner who  threatens to leave the area if his refurbishing  needs are not met with public dollars should be given a one way bus ticket from the city to leave the area.  The owners enterprise will gladly be sold for his profit and another owner will gladly purchase the enterprise for their profit.                                         In this specific case of the Carolina Panthers, no Charlotte resident tax money should be entertained to fund the 650 million dollar project.  The multi-billionaire owner of the Panthers can well afford to fund this project by himself.  Otherwise Charlotte can provide him with a bus ticket.
    • Glad that site worked for you..or someone you know  I didn’t  get a single  hit on that site  the hits I got came from the one I listened the transfer fee for me was $300 …that is all I paid and got rid of the psls, season tickets (full price) and  the parking pass…they handle all paperwork and interactions with the buyer and team i did ask my concierge , the day I was notified that they had sold, to move it along for me with Panthers Ops which she did to say I’m grateful and relieved is an understatement  I have no regrets…had great times there pre Tepper with my friends
