Let’s be honest, at 39, we had our pick of CBs starting with the 3rd ranked DeJean. We also had the 2nd and 3rd ranked Cs available too.

The 2nd best RB was available at 65. You don’t have to be a Debbie Downer to think that a RB who ended his season with an ACL tear might have not been the best choice. I was fine with the trade down to get the 2025 2nd but a RB in round 2 is not who I would have wanted.

All good but until they go through the process it's irrelevant, if course they will start one of them but even that doesn't mean he's #1, that'll all depend on the game plans and how best to Ayan the defense.

I'm getting big time DeAngelo Williams memories with the pick the more film I watch. Not quite as twitchy, but similar athletic ability otherwise. If he gets a little bigger and keeps the speed, I think he'll be a great back for us.

I like that he doesn’t have a lot of wear and tear on his body yet since he was behind Johnson and Robinson his first couple seasons. I don’t like that he’s coming off an ACL injury, obviously. Seems like we’re really prepping to install and develop in 2024 and compete in 2025.

After a late night gym workout I'm willing to give this pick a chance. For all we know this dude might be a game changer at RB and another legit weapon for this offense. If he's the best RB I will take the experts word.

 

 

Amazing how a quick workout can change your whole vibe. I left angry at the pick lol. Now I'm cool.

 

The gym does wonders people stay healthy!

He looks like our new feature back than can run through you or around you, has hands, and is a home run threat. His ACL let us steal him where we did honestly.

      Yep. It was an obvious red flag that a lot of people ignored. The results/scores in preseason don’t matter, but individual performance very much does and individually, we looked like the least talented team in the league and it carried over.

      Sorry, but in 2015, we didn’t look like poo to the extent of 2023. People who said it’s just preseason were completely wrong. Simple as that. 2015 was a veteran lead team. It was Cam’s 5th year and Luke’s 4th. Even our OL was 80% the same (added Oher) as the great run to finish 2014 with a playoff win. That year can be labeled as preseason doesn’t matter because I’m sure we rested vets and well, Ron/Mike weren’t putting in special plays, etc. I absolutely don’t recall a bunch of us saying that Turner was getting killed on one on ones or that Luke was completely out of position or that Norman was hurt again but probably fine. The only thing that was right about the 2023 preseason is that the minority of us who saw it, were correct that we A) should have been making Young and others play 100% of the reps as there was nothing to hide and B) the preseason means nothing was a bunch of BS trying to stay optimistic when it was obvious that we had way less good talent than the rest of the NFL.

      You are telling me Paul Maurice is a better coach than Rod??? Yes!!!  It’s because he plays a better system and has a better goalie.   Our system sucks in playoffs and he refuses to roll with Koochie. Dallas cowboys level poo
