Nothing really to see, but Cowboys eyeing Boobie (among several) as a failsafe

I think that we should push a trade to the Cowboys---make them believe they need him, which they very well could benefit from acquiring him.

"According to a recent report from ESPN, the Cowboys have a list of external options at running back in case they feel like they need to add another. On that list is reportedly Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders."

we'd save 18 million if we trade him.  I'll take a 7th.  Or maybe Dallas has a center we could get

Wouldn't mind getting a player in return, cowboys have anybody they'll part with that we want? I wouldn't mind their NT, he's not great but we could use some depth. He seems like a high risk, high reward guy similar to sanders.

Unless he's young and cheap I'd rather have a pick. We aren't competing for anything other than the #1 overall pick this season.

    • Damn Logan Jones had a good day too. Was high on him coming in as he anchored that top Iowa line and is a fire plug inside. He's gonna be 25 to start the season so maybe he slips into the 4th but I doubt it, even if C isn't a premium position. His play on the field was top notch and the combine boosted it again. Arm length is about the only knock. But guy is plug and play at C.   This is a loaded class at C. Need to grab one.
    • Bryce will be permanently replaced by a draft pick. There's not another Sam Darnold out there to save us. Tepper is going to see this throw because he dumped Mayfield and Darnold too soon. He's going to give it 1 more year before he will sign off on dumping another 1st round pick qb. Thats the cold hard truth of it. It doesn't mean we can't get younger and much better at the backup position.
    • Maybe I should have used a different word and saved that for me. I want someone that has something impressive about them.  Someone that has potential to supplant a guy who is producing 25th best type of numbers. 22nd, 27th all that bottom third neighborhood.  I don’t know where that will come from it just can’t be from even a 4th round pick this year IMO. Unless FA is crazy productive.    I’ll give Bryce a better than bottom rating for his playoff game. Well above low twenties. But at least half of his games were bottom third level. Probably 2/3 to 3/4 of them were.
