"We aren't playing for anything this year"

Isn't that what most people said in agreement regarding the 2023 Houston Texans who were one inexplicable play away from the first overall pick the season before?

There is no reason this team cannot at least compete in our division. No Brees no Ryan no Brady. Give me a break with this hit dog mentality around here. You brought in a new staff a different GM talking about a new mentality. Get out there and start building a new culture. And if you QB isn't getting it done. Next man up! Keep pounding.

right, I could understand if we were in the AFC instead of NFC but man our schedule is piss easy, every team starts at .500. Division game week one too, always a toss up.

I dont see them heading to the Super Bowl this season but I hope they are still playing to win and trying to get there regardless

I think Atlanta, NO, and TB are all pretty bad. Which makes it all the more frustrating Tepper couldn't get a good team together by now despite rebuilding for 4 years

tends to happen when your owner hires two shitty coaches in a row and you as a GM bring on failed free agents and draft players that didnt live up to the hype I guess

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
