DJ Moore: issues in Chicago?

But it is funny to me that Chicago fans are finally realizing that Moore is closer to a WR 1/2 than a true blue number one WR

I'm talking like AJ brown, JJ, Hill, Chase type WR. He isn't in that group. He probably isn't even in the group after that. he's likely the 15 best WR in the league or so (which is good!) but Chicago fans acted like they got prime Jerry Rice from us

Also to the people who think he wants out and we should try and trade for him again.

DJ = XL

Sure, XL isn't to DJ's level yet of course, but it's about style of play and how they'd be used, they're both that strong physical WR who are most effective getting the ball in their hand and letting them try and make plays and break tackles.

And in fact, I think XL has higher upside in that type of being used because he's a bit bigger and stronger than DJ is, so if he pans out, he'll be even more effective in that role than DJ has been, but he still has to develop and get there of course.

We don't need another one of those, we need a true outside #1 to compliment Legette moving forward.

Looks like a leg tweak and he may have though Williams was out of bounds/imminently out of bounds. Not going to the whistle either way though.

May have been, but to be clear it isn't just about this play.

There's been other stuff, including his publicly questioning the head coach as someone else mentioned.

More like WR25-30 imo

    • The truth is @CarolinaLivin posted it and I took notice at the names and drove into the rabbit hole, just happen it lead to Plebbit. One of my favorite draft gurus loves KC, just that he's around other panther WRs that have struggled..I mean Im about the only XL supporter leftd. Im like 50/50, but honestly haven't done enough to feel strong either. The drop and zone stuff is not what I like the weakness to be, but he is explosive, play all 3 WR spots, and does have playmaking skills which is rare. Right now I wouldn't be upset if panthers used the 51st. Months ago I told the huddle to prepare for a early WR selection.
    • I appreciate the optimism but there's no way in hell anyone is going to give us a 2nd or a 3rd. We'd legitimately be lucky to get a 5th. Logically it really makes no sense to move him this season anyways. We do know he is a high character guy and should be extra motivated to bounce back from last season. See how it goes and revisit next year.
    • I would add that it is probably likely that you need a T during the season--I am wildly speculating that they like something about Forsythe.  However, that is not enough.  We need 4 players who can play OT in the NFL---we have 3. That suggests that we are going to add an OT at some point.  Perhaps related, but probably a pure depth move: Brady Christensen is an interesting situation. He is likely to miss the first 2 months of the 2026 season, and he will be 30.  He can play all OL positions.  That would give depth when it is usually most needed--the last half of the season.  With his injury, I doubt his phone is ringing much.  I think I would offer a 2-year deal (1.5 if you want to be realistic) for the vet minimum.
