We moved up like a dozen picks in the draft and paid off almost the rest of his salary this season at the same time, for probably the best WR who was left on the market this season

It was an awful trade

Wonder what Skeletor would have given if Dionte was still available.  Agree that was a poo trade

Meh,I read what he said.  It wasn't that bad.

He may have been worse behind the scenes, but we don't know.

Heard from a source at the Riot tailgate this Sunday that Johnson would repeatedly miss meetings, loaf around in practice, and object to constructive criticism in the film room.

Take it FWIW.

It was well known in Pittsburgh that if he had any seemingly minor injuries that he wouldn't practice

Not going to lie I wanted to see Mingo stick around a little longer. He gets open he just can't hold on the god damn ball. Decent trade though.

I hate that his talent is possibly misplaced and wish the young man well. That said, I was getting Ian Thomas vibes and glad he has moved on for both him and the Panthers.

    • it's pretty simple IMO.  The Tepper Panthers are the most unsuccessful professional sports in all of sports.  The problem isn't the posters here have changed.  The product dictates the atmosphere more than anything.  In reality, the daily convos about THE worst team in all of pro sports on a fanatics site....is going to feature harsh and critical convo.  Only one entity can actually change that.  It's the Carolina Panthers football team.
    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
