We moved up like a dozen picks in the draft and paid off almost the rest of his salary this season at the same time, for probably the best WR who was left on the market this season

It was an awful trade

Wonder what Skeletor would have given if Dionte was still available.  Agree that was a poo trade

Meh,I read what he said.  It wasn't that bad.

He may have been worse behind the scenes, but we don't know.

Heard from a source at the Riot tailgate this Sunday that Johnson would repeatedly miss meetings, loaf around in practice, and object to constructive criticism in the film room.

Take it FWIW.

It was well known in Pittsburgh that if he had any seemingly minor injuries that he wouldn't practice

Not going to lie I wanted to see Mingo stick around a little longer. He gets open he just can't hold on the god damn ball. Decent trade though.

I hate that his talent is possibly misplaced and wish the young man well. That said, I was getting Ian Thomas vibes and glad he has moved on for both him and the Panthers.

    • I do think the Phillips signing was a bit of an overpay to come to Carolina. Dan didn't want a repeat of last year and IMO, Phillips probably goes back to Philly for less. We didn't want a Milton redux, so we upped our number to make sure he came to Carolina.  New England did it last year and wrote a blank check for Williams. They also went in on Carlton Davis III and Harold Landry. Look where they ended up.  I think the Lloyd singing balanced the Phillips signing.  I think Dan learned that pivoting from Phillips to someone else that is less of a fit in EE's system and settling for Chenal over Lloyd would've been a repeat of last year.  Good on him.  Decker on a fair 2-yr deal and I'm good walking into the draft with what we've got. Darnell Mooney would be another late add if his pricetag comes down a bit.
    • It was wild hearing a 3rd round rookie call our the DC. Might be a small reason he wasn’t playing.. He needs to shut up and work on improving his craft.
