Who wants Bryce to fail?

Definitely don’t want Bryce to fail.. I wanted Stroud but I Bryce is a Panther!! I never root for a player to fail if he’s a Panther!! I like what I am seeing with our young players Coker, Hubbard, XL, Te Sanders.. the defense needs work and was playing way soft on that last 4th quarter drive.. I see positives.. 2 wins straight to the bye is nice

What does have to do with the guys breaking down film?

it’s interesting you bring up Dalton game game from last season when the Seahawks were leading by 17 points in the 4th Quarer so it was a bunch of garbage time yards but those don’t count for Bryce vs Denver, even though Denver’s D is much better than the Seattles.

The truth is most QBs would look bad in the same situation as Bryce. It’s not like he’s leaving a bunch throws on the field the last 3 weeks, at no point was it like the first two games where it was clear it was on film that guys were open and he wasn’t pulling the trigger or flat out missing.

idk what the future holds for Bryce, I don’t believe Canales truly trust him or the the pieces on offense but I’m not putting undeserved blame on him for playing on a bad team.

Carolina was down by 2 points at the start of the 4th quarter against Seattle before Seattle scored 2 more TDs and that was after being down by only a point at halftime. Denver was up 28-7 before Carolina scored a TD with 18 seconds left and it was 21-7 at halftime with Denver in full control. Not comparable in the slightest.

We were down by 9 then going into the 4th and yeah they are not comparable. The Seahawks had a bottom 3 defense at the point in the season the broncos had a top 3 and one guy had had nearly 60 attempts

And Carolina's OL and receivers were trash compared to what they have this year. What is your point? This game can be played all day long and doesn't change that Dalton outproduced Young, which is the whole point of that argument.

lol Bryce is throwing to a bunch of rookies who were all behind Thielen in the depth chart. There is no point you are the one making the argument for a vet QB putting garbage time numbers vs a bottom 3 defense and saying outproduced Bryce. When the last time we saw him vs not a bottom 3 defense he was worse than Bryce.

Whatever man. The receiver play, scheme, OL, running game, TEs, everything on that side of the ball is better this year relative to last year, full stop, and Bryce still doesn't produce the same. Dalton sucks too, make no mistake.

The bar really is so very low right now that this is even a discussion at all. Bryce sucks, Dalton sucks less at times, and throwing for 125 yards is not something to be celebrated as 'improvement' by any QB unless it's meme-worthy like Weinke's wildcat game.

As a Panthers fan, I want him to become a franchise QB. Realistically, I just can’t see it happening. I hope I’m wrong.

What I don’t want is for this team to be in below average QB purgatory for years, i.e. Daniel Jones syndrome.

And that is exactly what you will get.  If you have a "franchise" QB and his sole job is to not f*ck up the game, that's not the guy you want long term.

That's exactly what Bryce has done the past two weeks...is not lose the games.  You can only be successful going that route.

    • "by name"?  You mean they are letting him say he is retiring or stepping down? That's even more embarrassing than being fired (he basically quit) and so transparently false that the media will kill him and this university.  If this happens, I may just turn full fledge to an SMU fan since I live in Dallas now. I'm just about sick of this university's approach to basketball and football.
