Panthers Commit To Bryce Young Being Starter For Rest Of Season

The season is lost. There is nothing new to learn about the Red Rifle. There is more to learn about Young, like is he going to level off and play consistently, or just poop the bed too often to keep. This is his final audition and I'm all for it. If he's crap, then we move up the draft and we can look at a replacement. If he's solid, then we have confidence playing him next season.

Do not. I repeat. Do not move up the draft for a QB!

People will hate it but I think he’s already solidified as our incumbent starter next year. Seeing what geno, baker, darnold etc have done, the nfl needs to learn that development is more important than instant stats.

he needs time to grow and develop. And maybe most importantly, he needs stability within the organization.

mahomes sat an entire year. Jackson and Allen both started as the backup their rookie year.

I wholeheartedly believe we should have started Bryce on the bench last year and the organization is most responsible for his dismal start. Not helping the matter was an atrocious offense around him.

Draft a mid to late round qb for a bit or competition but most importantly, give him the same system for a second year. I think it’ll pay dividends

Geno, Baker and Darnold have the physical talent to be in this league. Bryce does not, and if he doesn't overperform, then we lose.

WTF was this team thinking selling their souls for him?

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
