No

…and both harbaugh and Payton wanted to coach here. Either would’ve been ions better than what was/is here

Harbaugh told Tepper he would fix the team his way and that Tepper would have 0 input, he damn sure wasnt hitching himself to Bryce young either.

Tepper is supposedly "hands off" now, but he turned it down, something doesnt add up.

I mean you might not be totally wrong but we pulled the dude from kc as a almost lateral move

Maybe he just preferred to raise his family in Charlotte than Kansas City and I can’t say I blame him. Tepper probably paid him a lot more too.

I mean bald guys have higher testosterone generally. It’s why TRT causes baldness.

tepper has kept his mouth shut this season as far as I know.

all we can hope is that the ongoing Bryce disaster has humbled him.

Technically it’s the hair follicles’ sensitivity to DHT that causes baldness. That’s why some guys can do roids and not worry about hair like Arnold and Lou Ferrigno for example

Pretty sure the vast majority of the Huddle (like 95-98%) wanted no part of either of those guys either--especially Payton.

Yeah I was one of like 3 people who wanted Harbaugh.

I would have been fine with Payton but I didn't want to give the Saints draft capitol. Nobody here wanted Payton because "they didn't like him because he was with the Saints" or whatever.

Also almost none of the huddle wanted McCarthy or Quinn because they were "Retreads."

Such a negative culture, a culture of losing is hard to root out even for the best coaches. This team will never be good as long as he owns it.

The culture is there. There's too many holes and inconsistent play right now. Yeah, we lost 48-10 but did this really feel like the schlakings of old? Offense kept up until douchebag missed the kick. Legette can't catch a cold and is yet another bust at WR unless there's a coach that can teach a receiver how to catch. We were down multiple players. This feels like 2011. Next year is all or nothing to get a playoff spot. Drop the 3-4 get rid of Evero, bring in Ron as DC and keep him AT DC.

I've never liked Tepper, not from day one. The animosity has only grown with each failed game and each failed season.  Like the Jags, Jets and Browns bad owners, they are collecting checks while rubbing elbows with other elites...they will never sale despite the dumpster fires they oversee.

I wanted Harbaugh, and I wasn't the only one. We just thought that there was no way Tepper would hire him, and we were right.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
