NFL Playoffs

Now it's official. Mahomes wasn't gonna let the Bills get the ball back. Great playcalling by Andy too, so damn jealous of the Chiefs having him. If they close the deal with the win in 2 weeks I think Andy and Mahomes are the best QB/coach combo ever. What they've done in such a short amount of time together is just absolutely bonkers.

So in 7 seasons as a starting QB, Mahomes will have played in 5 SB's and his other two season's being AFC Championship game losses, both in OT.

Just crazy

He is quickly making a case for GOAT. If he wins this year, it will be interesting to see the rest of the career arc. How many does he get? Does Reid stick around? Does he win them elsewhere(like Brady)?

Reminiscent of the Andrews drop.

Eh, way harder than the Andrew drop. Brilliant call by Spags on the blitz and the real story is the Chiefs D shutting down those sneaks.

Yeah I'm skipping this SB 100%, talk about a snoozefest matchup.

fug this horseshit man. I am sick of having the Chiefs cock stuffed down my throat every year. The media  is going to be sucking their cock for 2 weeks straight.

you can also take away 3 from Brady for knowing defense`s signals.

You’re being intentionally obtuse. We’ve all seen plays where one ref comes in for the spot and another overrules, in the common meaning of that word. That is exactly what happened here. It had nothing to do with who gets the ball.

Also, “what does seeing Allen’s face vs back have any bearing on it”? The ball was on the same side of Allen’s body as his face, not on the same side as Allen’s back. If the whole point is to see the ball in relation to the line to gain, one viewpoint obviously gives a better chance to do that.

I'm being intentionally obtuse and then you go on to say these things?

You're literally arguing that if neither ref can actually see the ball, that the ref who can see his face has a better view of where the ball is than the one who can see his back.  That's absolute utter nonsense, you either can see the ball or you can't, if you can't, then seeing someone's face or their back has zero bearing on anything.

And go watch the replay the one ref didn't overrule the other, he was the first one handed the ball and he placed it, at that point it would have then needed the other ref to overrule him.  Because I was specifically watching for the ball placement as I did see the refs coming in at different spots, so I'm quite sure that's how it played out.

He's on track, but not there yet

Gotta go to at least 10 and win more than 7

    • I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them. As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA. They are developing relative to their ceilings. I doubt any of them will ever command the coverage, money, or the respect that Moore has acquired. He's a tier above them. Yes, even X.
    • IMO, if Ceedee plays against us, the game probably goes the other way. Same with Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins. Our team just isn't designed to beat teams with two high level receivers like that. But when you look at the league, how many teams really have two guys of that caliber?  There's nothing wrong with defensive adjustments, but sometimes I think a lot of fans want Evero to call a different play like a game on madden, and defensive football just isn't like that. That said, I thought we did a much better job this season against the Cowboys of flipping Jaycee and at least making them work for it, opposed to last season when they literally just lined CeeDee up on the other side of the field every single snap.  For us to just straight up switch to consistent man coverage, or a different zone, or whatever, we likely would consistently need different personnel on the field. Doing it a few times a game is a gamble and can work, but if we consistently run man coverage against the Cowboys, eventually a RB is going to beat a linebacker, or something of that nature with our personnel. Part of the reason Evero likes this scheme is that, while we have our defaults and presets, what we do is very multiple, and you can do a lot of different things pre and post snap. We are a challenging defense to read. But as you said, if guys are getting beat, it doesn't really matter what you call.
