From the live TV angle it looked like he got it

I don't remember the live tv angle off the top of my head, but I do remember my first reaction was that he didn't get it live, then on replay I thought he did, but also didn't see conclusive evidence of it, just that it was my opinion that he got it.

All I've been arguing here is that I don't think it was anything shady or one ref overruling another, I specifically watched the refs running in on different spots and was wondering who would get it, the ball was handed to the ref who cam in short first, he placed it.

Disagree with how it played out, but in the end, if any argument of "overruling" someone else could be made, it would have meant the one who came in with a 1st down mark would have needed to overrule the other.

The Bills have to seriously shake something up unless they want to keep being the bridesmaids of the AFC. The Chiefs just have their number and are DEEP inside their heads at this point.

It really felt like they played scared tonight. The offensive play calling was very conservative, especially in 1st and 2nd down.

I would consider firing McDermott. He’s a great coach, but everyone has a ceiling and the AFC Championship may be his. Yes you risk bringing in someone who is worse, but you have some success now it’s time to win it all.
Problem is it is too late in the coaching cycle for the best picks.

Everyone in their momma say Playaction boot after playaction boot and still you couldn’t stop it. SMH.

It’s very akin to a “Dungy in Tampa” or “Marvin Lewis in Cincinnati” situation. Those Bucs and Bengals teams could get to the playoffs but just never could break through.

    • That should have been this year. Tough to sell to anyone worth getting when this crew is going into year 3 on the hot seat. I still think keeping Evero will sink them all after last year's showing. If/when he is scapegoated they need to show improvement or it's likely to be so eone else's problem next year. I do agree in principle tho, it all should have happened after last year's problems.
    • I've listened to some things that have calmed the "Bryce was flat out terrible" to just "he was really bad" in Week 1. It's Year 3 though, and that shouldn't be the barometer. I've got 1% hope left for Bryce, and that's just blind homerism coming out.  I'm scared that as much emphasis as the team places on advanced stats and PFF that the team *doesn't* think Bryce was that bad in Week 1. Couple that with so many of the QBs in the league looking rough, offense being down in general, and I feel like there's a lot of "what if's" going on in the building instead of facing the music.  Lose Week 2, and we should switch the main focus back to building/churning the roster, evaluating young guys, and hoping our next QB can have a Jayden Daniels level of impact. As we're all well too aware of, QB is a crapshoot a lot of the time. Admit we made a bad pick, and go draft another. And another. Repeat until correct.
    • I wouldn't want any of those starting as a rookie on day 1.  That said, we need a vet, that is not Andy Dalton, that can be the starter while a prospect grows and learns on the sidelines.
