BREAKING: Myles Garrett Requests Trade from CLE

He says he’s chasing a Super Bowl.

Our only pitch is the weakness of our division makes anyone a playoff contender, and highlight our offensive progress. Plus, our defense was decimated last year and adding D Brown and Garrett solves a lot of our issues.

With that said, I put us around the 21st most likely to team to trade for him.

100% worth at least making the call.

Just turned 29 at the end of December and has 2 years left on his deal. A deal that we'd be on the hook for less than 3 million total because Cleveland has already paid out his signing bonus.

I'm sure the asking price is astronomical but he is a player at a position of need with a contract that is more than reasonable that it'd be absolute professional negligence not to pick up the phone and at least ask.

He is going to command multiple high draft picks, a new record breaking deal and he wants to play for a contender,  hard hard pass

Like I just said in Pantherscord: I can understand the passion behind trading for Myles, but I cannot agree with the rationale.

Still, gotta hope that the front office at least puts a call/text in to get more info.

Browns "We'll consider your 8th pick, your 57th, next years 2nd and throw in a 4rth, we will think about it"

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
