Why in Minnesota? That's bizarre.

Not like we have a vet WR who played his college ball and the majority of his NFL ball in Minnesota that a few room temperature IQ Panthers fans want to poo on who was obviously brought in every bit as much to mentor young WRs as much as he was to play who has still managed to put up decent numbers in awful offenses in the twilight of his career.

Anyone who thinks the Panthers haven't gotten everything out of Thielen that they signed up for shouldn't be taken seriously.

It wouldn't surprise me if they have ideas for him with the organization after he retires.

Watching the video the thing that stood out the most was Legette is "plucking" the ball out of the air. He was catching everything with his hands out and away from his body. If he can do that during the season we may just have something special there.

lmao you sound like me, I noticed the same a few weeks ago. I watch to see him hand catch like a hawk, but not like a lot of these fans hoping he fails, I want to see him improve.

That was a trait I immediately noticed about Tetairoa after we drafted him, pure hands. Didn't surprise me when he said one of the guys he emulates is Larry Fitzgerald.

Some folks get a tingle in their plums over older veterans and call other folks dumb over it.

I'm just glad we made the investment in WR.

Tetairoa Xavier and Jalen are the future and I look forward to seeing them bring a resurgence to their respective position group. Simple and plain.

Frank, I feel like you do regarding this receiver thing at the end of the day. Yeah, investing in young receivers is the way to go in most situations. But, vets have their place. It just depends upon the team's individual situation and goals and the perceived value of the player and contract. It seems to me that at this point you're just going on about nothing in terms of Adam Thielen. It's neither that serious or important. In my opinion, our receiving corps can make good with him or without him. I don't think we'll be cutting any youngster with promise for AT if it comes down to that. But right now he's still a pretty decent value.

XL, I wanna party with you, cowboy.  If he starts catching the ball he could end up as my favorite Panther of all time.  Never seen anyone who enjoys life more than him.

That was real fear in his eyes when the rope was being taken. My younger days, I had my best friend that happened to be black come over all the time. I had the nicest bulldog on the planet, my friend Damon was scared to death of him. His grandmother and daddy taught him to fear all dawgs and seen the same fear in his face and voice.

I think alllll young kids should take swimming lessons and not fear the water. Very thankful my parents did this, I no longer get in the ocean since its 50% sewage. But I enjoyed all the lakes, pools, and oceans I swam in.

Huh? The ocean is not even remotely close to 50% sewage. It’s clean.

If Thielen’s mentorship leads to XL being a reliable pass catcher, it will be worth every penny of his contract.

Ask yourself this, who else is going to help him? It’s a crowded room and every WR is fighting for play time. They don’t play this game for funsies. There is serious $ on the line for these dudes. They can’t afford to be buried on the roster come contract #2 time. This is their shot.

I’m not saying the intentions are nefarious, but there is contract money riding on play time for these dudes.

Coker has #2 square is his sights. better believe that. Why would he help XL? Would you?

Moore? Nah. JAG.

Horn knows he’s a fringe WR. He used to hustle neighborhood kids in to racing growing up. I don’t see him being the helping kind.

Hunter? He’ going to be too busy battling Coker for the #3 spot.

There is literally no better person for the mentor role for XL than Thielen.

    • You don’t even need 1b because Tepper is the only one foolish enough to wheel that deal.    Player wise? Jake’s elbow. JR and Pep getting sideways, no Carruth, Cam’s shoulder, Luke’s concussions, it would be a long list of stuff. You can take it down to certain plays in games. Fox chasing 2 point conversions in the SB would be on my list. RMJr slipping at the end of that same game was not helpful.
    • Ultimately this just amounts to heavy revisionist history. I mean you aren't talking to someone that just popped out the womb a week ago. I was here all throughout the predraft process. The overwhelming majority of the fanbase felt like this was a fine situation and the best situation for a rookie QB to go to compared to Houston for example. The hype for Young and our "rockstar" staff was off the charts. No one could dare speak cautious skepticism of his abilities or they would be neg repped into oblivion. Only after he had one of statistical worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years did we get this narrative now that his rookie season actually shouldn't count. Complete malarkey if you ask me.
    • On the field? Since I guess it qualifies as multiple instances it might not count, but have the damn refs throw some flags on illegal hits to Cam's head in SB50. If that doesn't count, 1A. Cotchery caught it 1B. Kasey keeps that kickoff inbounds. Off the field? 1A. Team is sold to anyone but Tepper 1B. We have the patience not to mortgage the franchise on that Bryce trade. Stroudwpuldve been the better pick but he's not worth it either.
