We have a habit of making career back ups look like HOFs. Special teams really killed the momentum of this game. If they first two punt return attempts dont result in a negative play and a TO, this game probably play out differently.

Obviously no brown or horn but still most points allowed in NFL history....

People's expectations shouldn't be for a good defense the ceiling for them should be hoping we can rank 24th overall

Yea exactly even with a few good starters there’s still practice squad guys who will be playing a lot of meaningful snaps especially if a few guys get hurt. Might be in the running for the worst defense in the league again.

I’ve said it all offseason and will continue to say it, Coker sees himself behind Tet on the depth chart. Hell, he probably believes enough in himself that he sees himself as WR1. Is there any doubt that he gets more and more play time as the season goes on? Would anyone be surprised if next game he outshines XL again? I really want to see him throw more passes. I bet he could beat Andy out for backup qb.

Again, I like XL the guy and I liked the fire, but what he did last night can be the difference in close games. He’s still trying to exercise demons from a few unforgivable drops he had last season, and last night did him no favors. Coker smells blood in the water and is now going to push even harder to show that he is that dude.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
