I mean, you could be right, but you're claiming this when he's playing against twos and threes in against a squad that didn't have the best defense last year anyway. It would mean more if he was torching a highly touted first rate pass defense and even playing top-rated corners.

That and he was our second best receiver last year. He did way more with his snaps than XL did. If this continues, they need to switch spots. I don't care that XL was a 1st rounder and Coker was a UDFA.

Yo I've had multiple people poo my posts just in the last few months for calling him what he is at 37 years old. Great guy. But he's washed. The glazing here from some people even after those horrific games he had last year is insane.

Andy needs to retire FR

We’ve seen him play against 1’s last year. And came up big every time his number was called. His hands are far more reliable than XL.

Hate to repeat / beat a dead horse but Steve Smith is much more terrible than usual.  He starts talking and then he's like an old guy like me - trying to remember what he was going to say.

Only thing worse is when he actually remembers and finishes a thought that only he can understand. Previously, he occasionally had funny thoughts and intermittent insights. Hopefully, just a bad day.

    • I mean, I think you're being a little hyperbolic with the last statement, but point taken.
    • Pass rush was the biggest issue in tonight’s game, and we were tied for 28th in sacks this season. That is a major area of need that has to get addressed this offseason. I just don’t see a path where there’s a game changing QB you can bring in with where we are drafting and quality of veterans that will be available. We certainly can do better than Dalton as a backup, and should ideally have a developmental guy  (perhaps a day 3 pick this year). We have bryce for one more year on a reasonable contract and then I think 2027 is the year that you reset that position (unless he massively improves).
    • Agreed, honestly basically bringing this group back as a healthy unit would be alright.  Brady Christensen should be resigned to a very reasonable deal with him recovering from the Achilles.  Atleast we're alright at 4 of our 5 spots with Lewis, Mays, Hunt, and Moton, Nijman was decent.  While if we can snag a deal on someone, take a stab, however our resources need to go to Linebacker, Pass Rush and a real option outside Tmac (coker is amazing, but if we can get someone who isnt braindead opposite Tmac, we can fully unleash Coker AND Tmacs full potential, cant move him into the slot if racoon boy is out there licking doorknobs).
