Bryce Young Is Terrible

I would rather him get more time to solidify his trash crown.  We have seen plenty of QBs leave here and miraculously get better.  I want no questions.

What do you do right now if you bench him?  Run Dalton?  You think he is going to make it 15 games?  I don't want mediocre again.  I'd rather suffer the stank and reset next year at QB.

I think Dalton will suck too. But at some point you lose your locker room when you keep trotting out trash at QB. You just lose your credibility to hold guys accountable.

I’m finding it very hard to watch a Panther game right now. It’s just not worth the time invested on Sundays to watch them suck it up week after week. We need a change and it starts with the owner. Until then we are going to mediocre forever

Tepper is going to be here for a long time.  He will keep throwing money at it until he hits.

I fear the reason he doesn't completely clean house all at once is because he has to have a football guy to ask, and the plague just continues.

At this point I'm going to keep it a hundred. I'm disappointed in Bryce. But I'm way more disappointed in Dan Morgan. Absolutely phoned it in with this QB room. Zero excuse for them to have coddled him three years in a row. The FO needs to answer for this too.

We kept thinking he’d be awesome filling our LBs with studs and with draft picks and FAs, this may be the worst LB corps we’ve ever seen before. Wasn’t real impressed with any of his D additions.

We needed to clean house in 2022, not just Rhule. Rhule sucked as a coach but he was basically out the door after 2021. Fitterer and his crew (Morgan including) are the real reason we aren’t close to competitive anymore. They truly decimated this roster.

I have more hope for the future with Bryce than I do with Dalton.  If they are both going to be trash, I would rather risk it with Bryce.

Dalton is done soon either way.

That is a legit concern.  I still don't think you can bench him after one game.

Everyone is overreacting right now.

For the record, I wanted Stroud.  I started watching film with him, and was so convinced he was the pick with Reich at the helm that I didn't even evaluate anyone else.  I felt like I was going crazy as the draft approached and it seemed like Young could possibly be the pick.

He's the guy now, though.

Sure you did

He is still making money no matter how much they suck.

I have no reason to lie about it.  Believe whatever you want.  I don't think he is doing great either.  Only reason I brought it up was to dispel the idea I am a Bryce hugger.

I absolutely hated it when Teddy was here, but I still supported him, because he was the guy.

I am a Panthers fan.  It is in my best interest for whoever is in the driver's seat to win.

    • To be fair, I kind of like Bo but he was BAD this past weekend.
    • What I noticed was Tmac running free on deep routes a lot. Can we just get PJ or Hooker to throw go routes on every play for the rest of the season? It would be more exiting than this current mess.
    • We're all aware of the frustrating Week 1 for Carolina, but there's reasons to see Arizona as a possible get-right game. While this will be Zona's home opener (requiring the team to travel out west), they were barely able to hold on to a lead against the hapless Saints who got a chance to tie the game up with 2min left that ended at the ARI 18. Kyler Murray was 21/29 with 2 passing TDs but for only 163yds (5.6yd AVG) and a QBR of 50.9 (RTG 108.8). He was also sacked five times for 33yds. Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler went 27/46 and was sacked just once for 6yds. Kyler also carried the ball seven times for 38yds. James Conner struggled to get going (12 carries, 39yds) but Trey Benson had a good day thanks to a 52yd scamper (8 carries, 69yds). Arizona has weapons in MHJ and McBride, but the CBs have been playing well enough for McBride to be the true focus of the defense. MHJ had a good game though against the Saints, so hopefully Jaycee + Mike Jackson can disrupt that connection. The Cardinals also aren't a disciplined team... with an opportunity to put the Saints away they gave up a TFL and a holding penalty before having the field goal attempt blocked. Their OL suuuuucks at run blocking and got better pass blocking from their TEs in week 1 than they did from any OL except for Paris Johnson Jr. Isaiah Adams and Hjalte Froholdt especially had issues as did Jonah Williams. If the Panthers' revamped DL can't get pressure against them it might be worth giving the alarm a pull.
