Bryce Young Is Terrible

It wasn’t all on Bryce but you’re not winning when you turn the ball over three times and throw for 154 yards. We are lucky this game wasn’t 42-3, because that’s what it felt like.

I watch a lot of football. I am convinced we should have taken Matthew Golden and kept Thielen. Bryce needs a quick hitting offense to function.

Thielen wanted to go home.  We did the right thing in letting him go.  He was good to us, so we were good to him.

Random but something I find interesting: the outlook on Bryce on X/Twitter is a lot more positive than here. A lot of talk about still believing in him and this game wasn’t his fault etc. I wonder why that on here it is more negative and X it’s more positive?  Anyway, didn’t mean to derail the thread.

We're all old and have seen this bullshit before

Bryce was awesome at Alabama, and can be again.  It is not like he shrunk after he graduated.  Still accurate and a winner, will prove it this year.

Long list of QBs who were awesome at Bama….think likely has something to do with playing with a better roster than your opponents every week

I think it suck’s all together. Because we all wanted it for Bryce. And I don’t think any more so than he did for himself at all. But when you watch this Sunday night game with Ravens and Bills. It’s clear, guys like Lamar and Josh Allen are just in a different stratosphere. What we all thought would be Bryce isn’t it. Even old heads like Rodger’s still out here dicing up defenses, and it just seems like the game is too big for Bryce. Going from a guy like Cam, you can just see that big men win football games. And if you small you better be quick af.

hopefully he can turn it around, I mean quick too. I’ll be watching in Arizona, but I won’t be expecting much that’s for sure.

He had a ton of red flags while at Alabama.

Happy feet, costing himself and his team sacks by always being off schedule or with poor line reads.

He was still a small QB with a slight frame, and an adequate arm.

You don't draft that first overall in the NFL.

At this point, we have to just ride with BY this year. It will either be a dumpster fire and we get a top pick at another QB next yr or maybe he turns it around. I know which way I think its going, but we will see. My question is if this goes off the rails, what stupid azz things does tepper do. Will he meddle with what QB we pick again. Also who tf of any status is gonna come here if he cans another coaching staff. We may be stuck with Canales for a while. These things make it feel a bit hopeless.

At this point I'm going to keep it a hundred. I'm disappointed in Bryce. But I'm way more disappointed in Dan Morgan. Absolutely phoned it in with this QB room. Zero excuse for them to have coddled him three years in a row. The FO needs to answer for this too.

True. Look at the Colts. Brought Jones into compete with AR, Jones won the job and led them to an impressive win today.

You can literally count on one hand how many sub 6'0 QBs have had success in the NFL...................................and we traded a ransom for that lmao Tepper is a POS and I hope he gets caught throwing some more sh*t at fans so we can get a new owner.

Oh what would have been had the NFL let Ben Navarro get a fair chance.

Yep he is a dud but do are the coaches and a bunch of players they wanted.

Teams will bring minimum effort soon enough and then the big time throws will come back but it's all just BS. Time to start looking for a new crew and QB. Should be a good year for both vs last year. Yay?

    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
    • Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster. He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it? Maybe he will be better next year! It's the Panther way.
