Does Canalas trust Bryce?

Reich and Thomas Moore both didn't trust Young based on the play calling. I think Canales said it himself about having to trust Young more last year. The common denominator is that Young does nothing to give anyone confidence. They scheme up and call simple plays for him but he continues to stink up even those basic plays.

Well your definition of vet is ambiguous. Canales had his chance to pick another guy and chose to stand pat with Andy. That's on him, and Dan to some extent for allowing it or insisting on it, which is worse. Or you can blame Tepper for it all.

Being better than Dalton, availability, isn't hard to improve so I left it that way intentionally.

Pretty much but the who and how much is intriguing. In the end it's always Tepper first and then in my mind because it always goes back to that root of all issues.

This idea that the coach has nothing to do with personnel is crazy

Backup qb?  Im not so sure about that.  Also what is the point in bringing in some stop gap qb to be a backup?  What does that accomplish.  This is a tear the bandaid off year.  If Bryce sucks this year then hes gone.  There isnt much point in not letting him play it out.  He seals his fate.

With his level of coaching that is in question at this point. He was literally brought in for Bryce by Morgan. He certainly hasn't earned it to date.

I think he was brought in because nobody else wanted the job IF it came with the caveat that Young had to start.

For all of the platitudes players and talking heads give Young, they all know what's really happening here and don't want anything to do with him.

I agree. Good staff walk when they know they can't win with the setup. Plenty of scrubs take the cash and then learn.

Bryce Young was not the problem this week. The problem was his playmakers outside of TMac. Legette, Renfrow, Sanders and Tremble were all aweful.

Canales was the problem for that 4th down in the redzone. He should shoulder the blame for taking his sweet time to come up with plays, and also to field a roster that was not mentally ready week 1

We better not pick up that option either.  Seriously.

A few mid-tier showings at the end of another throwaway season would leave me nerve wracked that we'd do exactly that. Tepper REALLY doesn't want to hear the pile on that will happen when we inevitably have to move on from Bryce.
