The more you look ahead

Look ahead to the future son

You realize the shrimp is gone

And there’s plenty little fish beyond

That boy fluttered like Bubba in Vietnam

So run, run, run Forest, run

Bryce Young sucks, just look beyond

If the Panthers draft Sellers, it will be a disaster. He is a freak athlete, but he can’t read simple college defenses, much less NFL defenses. It will take a year or two for him to develop into an NFL QB. I’m afraid if he’s drafted by the Panthers he’ll be thrown in the fire on day one.

SC fan so I might be biased, but Sellers is built different just like Cam was. He can shrug off sacks and then pop out of the pocket and use his ridiculous acceleration to scramble for the first down. One of those things that just cannot be taught and will translate to the NFL. He's 6'3" 240 built like a brick poo-house and is not afraid of contact. He is however, definitely raw as Passer there is zero doubt about that. I think he's had 13 starts in college now? This shouldn't be surprising at all. He has a good arm though and can hopefully improve, seems to have a great head on his shoulders.

Mateer does interest the heck out of me.  Live arm, a solid A-power, dual threat, risk taker, experienced with presnap work, good mechanics.  Has a side arm thing but nothing egregious or different than Ward, PM, etc.

Outside of Sellers, he's the other with that level of high reward.

And good news - the entire class is 6'-1" and above

Sounds exactly like Anthony Richardson.

No thanks.

    • This isn't directed at CRA or anyone in particular, but as someone who works with large datasets every day, it's funny how you can construe data to fit any particular narrative.  I mean this is just a hilarious tweet, a stat nobody has ever heard of, then some percentages with QB name. No numerator/denominator to provide context, no explanation of the formula, just another stathead loser with a mustache parroting whatever he wants.  So much of this stuff is worthless, especially in a sport like Football.
    • 3rd straight openers of horrific football featuring Bryce.   and if the games weren't dated....I bet someone unfamiliar with Bryce/us  couldn't figure out which one was his rookie season just off the 3 openers.
    • I've watched everybody that says TLaw outplay Bryce also completely ignore Nijman giving up immediate pressures and mistakes by other players on the offense. I have no attachment to Bryce. My attachment is to facts, and the facts are that he dealt with more than TLaw did. As a fellow Clemson fan, I've got a much softer spot in my heart for TLaw and the NCG he won his freshman year than I do Bryce and his rough two seasons to start his career in Carolina.  Have you gone back and watched the all-22 with the intent to figure out what was happening rather than sticking with your initial assessment? Give it a shot. It's much more rewarding than making up conspiracies to continue an agenda.
