The first few mins of this podcast is agreeing with Cam.  The rest is failure of XL to sell his route but also the stacked WR sets calked by Canales

Really good viewpoint at 8mins and 32 seconds of this 11 min video on what is problematic with XL stopping on an option route

Canales isnt doing the offense any favors either    not impressed but really no option

..but Brad Izik calling plays.  The thing he foes best is be Dave’s buddy

DJ Johnson just ticked too many boxes on the warning list. Unpolished/raw at his position, older guy, etc.

Project players don't belong in the top 3 rounds, IMO. Not on teams completely bereft of talent. The Ravens, 49ers, etc of the world can get away with that. It's hard to justify that in the condition our roster usuallu is.

The good drafters don’t do that. That’s why we wonder how so many solid prospects drop to the Eagles or Ravens. It’s not that they can get away with reaches, it’s that they don’t do that. We do that and we can’t. That’s how you get an 8 year slump like the Jets and Browns and that’s how they seem to stay playoff contenders year after year.

It does really look like they are forcing throws to him. Honestly, all the more reason to sit him. Don't let the focus on attempting to feed a struggling player the ball hurt the overall offense. He ain't JaMarr Chase.

100%. They have shrewd and intelligent evaluators. We have the 180 degrees of that.

We outsmart ourselves attempting to be the smartest guy in the room CONSTANTLY.

Yep. We are the fantasy owners that grab the last player left at the end of each run. We draft guys coming off bad injuries, athletic guys who’ve never shown they are good at football, one year wonders, projects, older prospects and worst of all guys who fall in more than one of those buckets. Even worse than that is we trade up for guys like that.
