Still my point is valid, he wasn't benched he was hurt.  He had very little play in the preseason, which is on him and Canales, he was sluggish and bad his first game and played faster the second game but every throw to him was ass.  Let's see him with a somewhat competent QB who can at least deliver the ball on time.  Every catch with this team has to be a circus catch because Bryce's accuracy is poo.

Was he? I mean he's kinda given the vibe of a guy who doesn't understand why he isn't playing.

I mean... Did y'all want him to say that he learned that our starting QB is a bum?

Actually, I would have liked to hear that from him...

The nice thing about playing for the Panthers is the local press is generally pretty amiable to writing puff pieces. Just help them help you. Give them what they want and tell them that you were able to use this time to focus on better understanding the offense and watch film and whatever and they'll write a piece praising you for your commitment and predicting that you're ready to show what you can do when you're back. They'll generally cover for you as long as you give them something to work with.

Watching his answer in the instagram reel that Linville posted is very confusing.

and while I do hate cliche answers, it would be nice to know he understands the importance of them.

anywho, he’s a panther so I am cheering for him. I’m hoping he comes back and balls out.

Joe Burrow was playing bad before he got hurt, you think anyone's going to ask him if he learned anything while he was injured? It's disrespectful because he wasn't benched for performance reasons, but the question is insinuating that he was.  It's kinda obvious

Burrow has clearly been a good player in the NFL and wasnt coming off of a historically bad game before the injury.

Legette was/is a character and who doesnt love the idea of this somewhat unique dude breaking it open in the NFL and livin the dream?

But if thats his response after the "time off" I dont believe he has the drive

Someone suggested recently that XL stumbled into the NFL, that this wasnt a boyhood dream and he just kind of fell into it in college.  Then he went in the first round and has life changing money for him and his kin.

I dont hate him for it

But dude needs to be shown the door.  The state of this team can not abide someone this detached.

Thats what you ask a kid coming out of timeout, not a grown man

I ageee that it was a loaded question - that I don’t think I have ever seen asked of a guy that was out for injury not benching. As was pointed out.

XL looked bad with Bryce last year. He looked better with decent to competent QB play. Now he looks bad again. Wait until the kid looks bad with some consistent QB play before he is labeled a resounding bust. WRs used to take three years, now everyone is a bust. At this point in his career, our beloved Smitty would have been considered a bust. In year one he caught 10 passes for 154 yards and 0TDS. Year two he had 54 catches for 800 yards and 3 TDs. Both years he played 15 games. Chill out! If he continues to be terrible cool, doesn't progress at all this year or next fine. But the he's not smart, he doesn't know English, and I am calling it now crowd are doing too much.

It is a noticeable thing. Patience, so many had it for Bryce. Fresh out for everybody else. Seems like.
You can’t say he has looked good, but to bury him with this QB and now everyone is calling the limited playbook offense he is in shitty p and the coach is shitty (which would be something that affects a green over drafted WR), and no one I can recall except you had mentioned the old way of 3 years.
I don’t know who is right. Just saying I agree with you about patience being so thin.
