Damn lol you all are coming for my neck. All im saying is we've been begging for deep shots. Most of those arent going to be pretty. They drafted the volleyball high point guy and big ass X for a reason.

Yeah he should have caught that, TMac would be the first to tell you that. It also definitely was not a drop and was PI. All facts.

Just because a player maybe should have made the catch, doesn't mean it's a drop

Having said that, THAT wasn't a play that he should have come down with just because he was able to get 2 hands on it.

He got 2 hands on it while leaping and twisting in the air while being pulled back down by the defender at the same time.

General rule of thumb, if the catch was made and it would have been one of the highlight plays of the week across the league, then him not making the catch isn't a drop, not hard to understand.

Drops are when you don't catch something that you 100% should have made the catch on.

You mean a millionaire professionals league where highlights are expected weekly? Also a drop isnt the same as a school aged player NOT completing a catch, but you seem emotionally attached so I'll let you have it.

    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
    • I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job. Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed. Also, lol
