Re-watching in pieces, 4-6 calls were GIVEN to the blowboys. Fire the whole crew and let them move back to Dallas, total jobber. Shocking the Panthers were able to win, many were for 1st down and tone setting calls too. All in favor for bad guys...

That RTP on Prescott was a total bitch call and bailed them out on what would have been another failed drive.  It was a clean hit.

It's nothing new though.  Any time we play the Cowboys in the regular season they get generous spots, usually more than one questionable penalty that extends a drive for them or kills one for the Panthers, and more often than not a handful of no-calls on PI or holding.  The exceptions are the two playoff games and the 2015 beatdown on Thanksgiving.

Peppers tipped that field goal against the Cowboys in 2005. Twenty years later, not much has changed with the refs.

That ball hit him under the arm and the way the ball was moving visibly changed.  I will go to my grave believing that.  Also Steve Smith getting ejected for like, touching a ref's waist.

Just a gigantic coincidence that that was a game the Cowboys needed to stay alive for the playoffs, if I remember correctly.

The amount of players I’ve seen touching the refs lately keeps bringing that up from my memory. I always assumed that was a no tolerance policy but I guess not.

It really is insane how they always try to rig the game vs Dallas. Two exceptions being our playoff games.

Had we lost it definitely would have been right up there with the 2014 Playoffs vs 49ers, Dallas 05, Saints 2018 Playoffs, and SB50 as all time rigged games.

Panthers beat them at home in 2018 too in a game I really don’t recall being that rigged but there’s so many examples of refs just gifting the cowboys bullshit calls. Even in 2021 I remember them missing a fumble when they played in Dallas

Who remembers the night game against Dallas when maybe Romo was a new starter, and the obvious tackle on Drew Carter before the ball arrived, no PI call, changed the whole game.  Thinking 07 maybe?

06 was the big Romo coming out party.  We got up 14-0 and then the Cowboys outscored us 35-0 the rest of the way.  They even set a franchise record for fourth quarter points, or something appropriately humiliating.

I think 2007 was the one where the DB just tackled Carter before the ball got there.  Matt Moore was the starter in that game.  I think that was the same one where Steve Smith made a catch on his back, the closest ref called it complete, and then Mike Carey came running from the opposite end of the field to call it incomplete.

NFL needs Dallas to be relevant, it’s obvious. Unfortunately for the NFL they haven’t really been relevant since the 90’s.

They haven't even been to an NFC Championship Game since we whooped them in the 96 playoffs

    • We could quibble about was that an answer to what I asked but I  don’t see it as being one. Look, he agreed to this Evero thing. Up front. Apparently anyway. Took the job with those conditions in place. I buy that and will work off of it.  This play calling issue isn’t the same thing. I am not in the mood to delve into Canales’ shortcomings and get out the pitchforks at the moment. I will abstain from that topic and stick to the quandary the dissenters who want to usurp his play calling power, find themselves in. As far as that goes I am still on the fence and think the play calling is Bryce centric and the play selection/playbook is affected. That does not mean I know that if the playbook was open he would be great play caller. Just that he is hampered right now.  Inserting an OC not of Canales’ approval changes the original parameters of the assumed agreement.  Unless you think Tepper placed a contractual prescription to allow Tepper to dictate that he can insert a play caller of his choosing after a time period if he is not satisfied with Canales’ work.  Which, do you really think that is in play?  I do not.    Unless it is, Canales has the option to yea or nay. As I said, it could be forced on him. But they only do that if they want him out.  And as of now his stock is up, I would have to say I don’t own any but I think it is up. He had the stadium rocking, the team in the playoffs, and has that sorry lil draft pick trending upward. Even at this very low rate.  I think he has ‘hand’ right now as they say on Seinfeld. This is something that may get play in the 2026 season, not now. IMO.
    • Canes now have 19 losses on the year. Here is the truly alarming stat. 13 of those were multiple goal loses. 9 of those were 3 goal plus losses. This team is getting blown out more than any other year under Rod.     why?  Blue line is a total mess. It’s just no good with their combinations.  It pains me to say this, but they were mikes better with Burns and Orlov. They need Slavin so bad.  Health.  Size. The team is too small and has no physical play. Most forwards do not forecheck.  Worst under Rod.  Goalie play. Pretty average to sub par. PK is downright bad. It’s allowing a little over a goal a game. Worst under Rod.    Team will not win a playoff round under its current group of players. It’s not constructed to do so against heavy teams.      solutions.  Must get physical size by the trade deadline. Rod and Tulsky know this. That probably has to come with the 2C.  KKs size but a better scorer and meaner.  The need another physical winger.  Goalie. Either go all in on a top guy on a bad team or get average. Lastly, better defense. Need a Right shot heavy defenseman.  Yes that could mean someone’s favorite dman could sit. Looking at you Boom.    thats 3-4 new guys that must be brought in for them to have a chance at a cup.  And it’s all players that are different and better than what they have.  They have the cap. KK is gone. Add 4 mill back.    And then hope it’s jells unlike Mikko.
