what does bryce young excel at

Recommended Posts

He's good at plays like the TD to Legette to go up 10-3.. Dalton couldn't pull something like that off.  And he's been pretty good at 4th down throws in his career, like the one to Renfrow last week. But his inability to want to throw downfield coupled with the fact that the NFL meta is to have a QB that can pick up a few yards on the ground in 3rd and 4th and 1 will be his downfall

Like how is the first thing you are thinking about after we just achieved a winning record for the first time in ages lol

because he got hurt and didn't finish the game. so naturally the fanbase is considering other options

Honestly he can be impressive off script.  I'd say his best plays have been when he's flushed but doesn't give up.

Last year it felt like he'd frequently get 20 yard completions that way. Feels a lot less common this ye

This year he has reverted to panicking in the pocket, whereas the Philly, KC, Atlanta, Tampa games last year he was much more pocket aware didn't panic when something went wrong, and moved out and escaped pressure. It's my #1 thing I hate about a QB, and why I hated Darnold when he was here (Darnold has been much better since leaving)

But "considering other options" isn't the basis of this thread.

And look, we can talk about how good Bryce is or isn't all day.  You know... just as we have discussed all week, all year, the past 3 years.  It seems odd that this is the first thing someone would want to discuss after a massive win.  Hence "drink more alcohol".  Relax.  Enjoy the win.  Go out and enjoy this beautiful weather and city and celebrate with fellow Panthers fans as I have done for the last 3 weeks.

    • Hornets lead down to 16 early in the third.   Derrick White is single handedly keeping the Celtics in this game.
    • Looks like Miller is definitely grabbing his wrist out there.
